Sorrento Tower

We stayed in the Sorrento Tower, and while the view and location are nice, the actual experience was extremely disappointing for the price. The room felt worn out and poorly maintained. Lighting was dim, the space did not feel properly cleaned, and the furniture on the deck was damaged, with broken and neglected items left outside. The overall condition of the room did not match what you would expect at this price point. Basic amenities were a problem throughout the stay. The fridge in our room did not work, and food stored inside went warm. The bathtub would not drain, and the jets turned on randomly in the middle of the night, which was unsettling. Staying at Sorrento Tower in Fontainebleau Hotel, which I booked via Mak Property, was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we stepped into our suite, we were greeted with breathtaking views of both Miami Beach and the downtown skyline – a sight that left us in awe every single day. The sunsets from our suite were nothing short of magical, golden glow over the cityscape, creating an unforgettable backdrop for our evenings. Pros: Bed was comfortable and most of the staff were kind and helpful. Cons: There are many. 1. I paid for an ocean view, but the ocean was only visible when standing in one small corner of the balcony. 2. Room was dirty. There were visible food crumbs and a pill on the carpet. bathtub was sticky, and more. 3. Check-in was a total disaster. The room was supposed to be ready at 4:00, but after standing in a ridiculously long line for almost 30 minutes because only one attendant was working, it was still not ready at 4:25. They sent me up to the owner’s lounge and I finally got the key at 4:35. 4. When I checked out I was told there is a $40 plus tax cleaning charge. Nowhere on my booking confirmation was this disclosed.

While traveling to Miami Beach for a long weekend, we encountered flight cancellations and unexpectedly found ourselves needing 2 additional nights in the city. I called and was able to book a last minute “spring getaway” option and the experience at Fountainbleu was amazing. Probably among the top hotels/resorts in the city. The room was very nice, oceanfront view in the Sorrento Tower, the food options are outstanding and the pool and beach area is wonderful.

If you want to relax and unwind with a peace of mind along with enjoying the perks of being in Fountainbleu, you have to stay at Sorrento Tower. The rooms are very clean and the whole building is very elegant. The rooms are great and the private pool is amazing. Greatly recommend this place!
