Song of the Sea

My husband and I spent the weekend here last week with our two girls and it was wonderful. Pros: Breakfast was fantastic. The fresh pressed juices, the waffles, fresh fruits, etc were all a girl could ask for. The beds in our room were comfortable. The beach was in the backyard, you can't beat a nice short walk to a private beach from your room. Cons: The wooden furniture in the room left a brown greasy film on any clothes it touched. The lighting outside at night left much to be desired. I wanted to use the hammock but it was pitch black at night. And the room wasn't as clean as I'd hoped. But the staff were kind and breakfast service was really wonderful.

The property is beautiful. The pools are lovely. The tiki bar was fun and served delicious food. The room was nice. The location was perfect! We loved all the amenities included in what we felt was a very reasonable activities fee. We rode bikes, paddle boarded, enjoyed the provided beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas, ate a good breakfast, and we swam in two pools and relaxed in the hot tub, all for no additional charge! We also enjoyed the screened in porch, the included bottle of wine, and the direct beach access. Above all, we enjoyed the staff, especially Amanda and the maintenance crew. Quiet resort, with ocean front view and benefit of resort amenities including walkable tiki bar and restaurant. It was the perfect time of year to visit during off season- not crowded, and plenty to do. ||Room was dated but clean with daily housekeeping and linen service. Hotel staff was attentive and checked in to address any issues timely. Breakfast was fresh with healthy selections. ||The beach was beautiful and daily set up of chairs and umbrellas by the staff was very helpful. Paddle boards, kayak and bikes included in the resort fee provided many options for fun. ||We will be back!

Lovely place to stay for a peaceful beach vacation. Great staff (shout out to Amanda and Mikey, the housekeeping and the kitchen staff for taking great care of us this past week). The breakfast is really nice, there’s no shortage of bikes to get around the island, and there’s easy beach access with chairs and umbrellas. We checked out paddle boards and you can check out a kayak during your stay from the sister hotel next door (included in the price of your stay). There’s a tiki bar that serves food on site and Dante’s restaurant also on site. If you want a sparkly new hotel or to be able to walk to downtown quickly, this isn’t the place for you - it shows some age, kind of like staying in a European hotel - but it’s clean, quiet, convenient, and had all the amenities you’d expect at a beac

We relocated to this charmer after two disappointing nights of sleep at a sister hotel. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. We loved our pool / ocean view and ending/starting our days on the balcony. The breakfast served was nicely done. The only issue was people 'saving' beach set-ups all day. It was frustrating to see saved chairs still empty at 2PM. I def think the vibe here is more adult oriented than family. The hotel next door is more a family situation. Would definitely visit again.
