Sonesta Simply Suites Nanuet

Stayed for one night for thanksgiving, staying for a night or two okay sure. The third floor has a smell. The hotel could use an update for sure but for the value and location it’s okay. The bed was fine. There is a train that passes by the hotel so be mindful booking if you’re looking for a restful sleep. Lobby attendant pleasant. The facility is very clean they have laundry and a gym if you need it, as well as a store. Would I stay again no.

Room and hallway smelled like dirty laundry or unwashed people. Building was worn carpet was stained and room was small and poorly furnished NOT A SUITE A SMALL SMELLY ROOM WE did not stay and were not refunded. Trivago was no help refused refund

Friendly and helpful staff. Average room showing it's age... recliner broke whill sitting in it. Good location for my trip, but there is a RR crossing less than 100 yards away, so you will be woken by commuter trains whistles. Biggest thing for me was the smell, like a roadside quick mart that has hot food. Now, I understand the place is all suites, and you might smell something being cooked while walking by. The smell was consistant throughout the 2nd floor hallway all the time, and the room smelled the same. At least the price was right...

I usually come here to stay but this last time wasn’t a good visit my tv never worked the my heater kept flashing a bright light all night that wouldn’t let me sleep I have always had a great stay but this time it wasn’t a good stay. I complained about it but there was nothing that could be done. I really liked this place but this last time let me down. I hope they fix these issues

Positive: Room was big and clean Negative: I'm sensitive to noice and the big fridge in the room made too much noice for me. The stairway from back door to second floor was very dirty. The location is ok but there is a train passing close by late in the evening. Not at night.
