Sonesta Select Whippany Hanover

Very good hotel overall (7.7/10). Stayed 2 nights in April. Nice room, good size. Everything worked as it should. Very good bed. Shower was good, but the water pressure could be stronger. Towels were good. TV was good overall, clear picture, with a good selection of channels. The TV guide was navigable, but for some reason it only worked on the first night. Staff were good. Parking was good, $5 per night. I would definitely stay again, as for the price paid ($70 total per night not including parking) it was great value.

I needed a quick local hotel in a pinch and for the price this place fit everything I needed. The main lobby is very updated and clean and the woman checking me in was friendly and helpful. I was on the 3rd floor and had easy access with the stairs and elevator. Lots of different entrances to get into the hotel but all key card accessible only so it’s safe. Room was smaller but clean. Had a king bed with a large sofa. The TV doesn’t really face the bed which was weird. Bathroom was clean and shower was clean. Water tasted weird out of the sink when brushing teeth. Im not sure my air worked I wanted to put it on but the buttons didn’t work, but it was a comfortable temp without. It was a tad loud, you can hear trains and cars on route 10. Things echo on the hallway as they do in most hotels

Positive: Staff and location Negative: Hallways are too dark and room light above sink area too dark, dim lighting. Bathtub had rust in it and mold.

The manager here is very disrespectful. He would not accommodate you. He does not represent this hotel in a great way. He actually calls the police on people and I feel that he is very racist. To my understanding, he does this frequently. The police made a report on him in my behalf because they seen how rude he really was. I booked the hotel room had a reservation this man gave me a big issue to the point. I had to go stay at another hotel after paying my Money and deposit at hotel. I checked into a nearby hotel with a nice receptionist. She helped me get a beautiful room I expressed to her what happened at this location? She said that happened frequently so just be aware and be careful.

It was a great last minute stay. The gym is GORGEOUS. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. Only issue was the shower was not working and it was old and stained which the staff graciously accommodated for me at check-out.
