Sonesta Anaheim Resort Area

Positive: Great rates for a hotel close to Disney! Friendly staff and clean rooms! We will stay here again. Great value for the price. Negative: Not within walking distance to anything, but it is a close drive or shuttle to Disney or restaurants. We didn’t get to try the onsite restaurant, but heard others say it was good.

This was our second stay here and it's been about 4 years since we stayed. It's convenient to Disneyland with a paid shuttle service, they have a restaurant and coffee bar as well some games in the lobby. The beds were comfy but the restroom definitely needs some extra cleaning care. It wasn't dirty but you can tell they just do a quick once over, there was dust where the towels go and you can tell that under the sink isn't dusted ever. Not a deal breaker and I imagine they are probably pretty busy most of the time but I would suggest they do a little deeper cleaning. When I paid for the rooms online I was quoted somewhere in the $20 something rang for parking but within the 3 weeks I booked the room they raised the parking by $10 bucks, they honored the price for me but a hotel like this

First thing, they will surprise you with the $32/night parking fee. The shower was broken in my room. Front desk doesn’t answer phone calls. Had to change my room after one hour of reporting a broken shower.

The hotel was okay, we expected there to be free breakfast like it said on the website but there was no free breakfast, the parking fee was higher than what it said it was on the website, and the transportation to get to Disneyland wasn’t the greatest. We didn’t know we had to pay for transportation to the parks. And there were so many stops on the way to Disney and they took a very long time picking us up after. So we decided to drive to California adventures ourselves even though that’s why we picked the hotel so we wouldn’t have to pay for parking. The rooms were okay I liked how they did not have carpeted floors but they definitely need to improve in detail cleaning. There was a lot of stains and marks along the walls and furniture. The staff was nice be we barely interacted with them.

Not great. Because of difficulties with our trailer we booked this hotel for our Disney vacation last minute because it has low rates for the area and seemed like it might be good value. When we got to the room we found the toilet backed up and not flushing. Someone was sent within a couple of hours to plunge it but even afterwards it flushed very weakly. The next day it backed up again and someone was sent to plunge it, but again it only returned to barely flushing. My family doesn’t trust it and now everyone is going all the way downstairs to the lobby to use the restroom. As this was happening I was texted one of those generic “please tell us how it’s going” messages from the hotel. I texted back with the above and am still waiting to hear back almost 24 hours later.
