Sohotel

We spent 10 days at the Sohotel, as our son was in the hospital nearby. We loved the cozy intimate spaces for coffee, visiting & reading. Rooms are very comfortable with everything we needed. Interesting history with fabulous modern decor. But most of all, they were best staff you could ever wish for. They made our stay the best it could be under circumstances. Always helpful, kind, accommodating in every way with a smile. Thank you Adele, Dennit, Melvin & more!!

Positive: Gorgeous decor, great location, comfortable enough. Dim lighting in common areas created a lovely atmosphere but I know some people don’t like that. It was also very clean. Negative: Small room, common in NYC. There were almost no amenities. No mini fridge, no room service, ice/vending machines only on the first floor, no fitness room I could find, no elevator. TV was unable to connect to any internet/apps or cast from my phone.

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful old building with a lovely sitting area. No elevator. We stayed in a tiny room, very clean and very quiet. Easy booking and check out. We did not have breakfast.

Overall nice stay. The hotel was very clean. Decent amount of space as well. Most of the staff were quite friendly and polite. Location was excellent. Building was very cool. What the hotel lacks is the extras. No coffee or tea in the room- they have it in the lobby but only in the AM and they don't have lids for the cups. There's no elevator (I guess because the building is so historic?). Only one working ice machine on the main floor. Just felt like the stay could be a little more flushed out.

This was the best experience I have ever had at a NYC hotel. It is such a cool hotel. All the staff were friendly and so helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And it was so quiet especially for NYC. The style of the hotel was fantastic. It was so cool and artsy. And the price was reasonable for Soho. I look forward to staying here again.
