Customer Reviews
The reviews here had me worried but upon arrival we spoke with a guy at the front desk that made the whole stay worth it. Dip is a great guy and accommodated all issues we had. The location is perfect right next to the subway making all trips back and forth a breeze. The noise is not as bad as it was made to be. There is noise but it's not sleep stopping. This place is well worth the price you pay. Definitely will stay on a return trip
We stayed at Soho Garden Hotel for our first two weeks living in NYC, and they were very good to us! The rooms are small but they are very clean and cozy. Everyone working at the hotel was super friendly and always quick to help. The lobby area was nice and we loved the complimentary tea. And you can’t beat the location!! This hotel is walking distance to countless restaurants and shops, and super close to multiple major subway lines. It was so easy to get anywhere.
The Garden hotel is in what long time ago was a beautiful blng on Canal st an extremely dirty area of SOHO. The rooms are tiny and the bunk beds are uncomfortable, the room didn't look clean, the hallway made us think we were on a thriller or a scary movie. It has been the worst hotel we've been for the price we pay. Our friend's room at the Sheraton 1 block away from us was almost 80 dls cheaper way different to ours. The hotel it is in really bad condition sadly matches the condition of Canal street. This was our 1st time in SOHO and we though it was a good hotel, we didn't check the reviews as we found it on rbnb. The location is good though another good thing was the attendant at the reception was very friendly and nice.
We stayed at this hotel from 29 December to 3 January. We paid 2000$ for 4 people. The Asian man at the front desk barged in my friends' room after he gave them the wrong room by mistake. We understand that mistakes happen. What we don't understand is a 50yo male forcing the hotel room of two young girls in the middle of the night yelling at them to get out. When we complained, he just left his coworker with us and avoided the conversation. The hotel manager was supposed to contact us but we never heard from them. The cards to access the room didn't work. The room was super small with two tiny double beds for the 4 of us. The towels reeked so much we had to throw them out of the room. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything that's going on. The windows let the cold air inside,
i'm giving it a 4 stars because for the price you pay, the location and how decent the room was, i really cant complain. The bathroom in the room i was in looked to be recently renovated and felt very clean, the room itself was clean as well, albeit small. the only thing that would have been nice was if there was a fridge and control over the air conditioner in the room, but for a budget hotel i really don't mind.
