Customer Reviews
I had a great stay at The SoHo Hotel. The location is excellent—an easy walk to Hudson River Park Pier 25, which made getting outside and enjoying the area effortless. The rooftop access was a real bonus, offering great views and a relaxing atmosphere. The coffee bar was fantastic—high quality and convenient, especially in the mornings. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was exceptional: enthusiastic, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout the stay. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Between the views, location, amenities, and outstanding service, this hotel is a solid choice. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.
Came with family and stayed in a room for one night. Staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was on the top (18th floor) with a fantastic view over looking the Empire State building and surrounding area. Room was clean, bed comfortable and show had decent water pressure. There were also some decent food options nearby and subway link less than 5mins walk away too. Would recommend and stay there again if travelling back to New York.
The wifi was awful, 38 mbps, and the manager acted "surprised" when I approached him about it. This despite charging a hidden fee of $40.00 per day when I arrived for the internet and "other services" (free bottled water at the front desk, unacceptable if not illegal). I had to go to a coffee shop. The AC was marginal during 88 degree weather, it did not blow hard but no matter the setting did barely "alright." Would never stay here again nor recommend it to anyone I cared about. The location was near my event so it sufficed. The room had a connecting door to the next room where 3 large, loud women were staying. Thankfully they were quiet during sleeping hours. Otherwise, I did not enjoy listening to their blah blah conversation during day hours. Maid staff was very nice and friendly, it j
This hotel was the roughest I’ve ever stayed in. My room had mold in multiple places, holes in the walls, threadbare carpet, and torn and stained curtains and chairs. The heater gave off a faintly burnt smell (tho it did work thankfully, unlike the room of one of my colleagues). My key card broke 3 times in a 3 night stay. If you need a cheap place to stay in NYC then I understand why you might choose it but just know that you will be living in fairly unacceptable conditions for a place charging you actual money.
SoHo 54 Hotel was a solid pick for a downtown NYC stay! Rooms are modern and clean (nice beds, good shower), though on the smaller side like most Manhattan spots. Service was friendly—staff helpful with check-in and local tips. Location is excellent for exploring SoHo/Tribeca: close to great shopping, restaurants, galleries, and easy subway access to everywhere else. Not flashy, but comfortable, quiet, and great value for the area. Would stay again for a relaxed Manhattan trip!
