Snow Bear Lodge

Place was deserted when we arrived pool was a mud hole. Room was poorly furnished with no where to put clothes. No deadbolt on the door, window screens with holes so you couldn’t open the windows. Horrific

Decent place to stay in Big Bear. We had a studio and a chalet for me and for my kid and their friends. The studio worked well for the kids to hang out and watch TV and cook a meal, then go back to the chalet to hang out without dad. Used my phone as a mobile hotspot to connect the TV and everything streamed just fine. Nicely located with a front and back entrance making it a little easier to get in and out. Took a little effort to find the rooms since we arrived after dark, but I would definitely stay here again. We were here in the winter for the snow, so I know nothing about the pool.

DO NOT book this place under any circumstances. This is one of the worst lodges in Big Bear and possibly the world. We paid over $400 to rent one of the cabins for 1 day over this past weekend and lots of things dont work properly. The shower barley worked and NO hot water was coming out even after turning the hot knob for almost an hour. The wifi didn't work and it looks nothing like they advertise on their website. Super small and looks like a poverty shack on the outside. Me and my guestswould give negative stars if we could. Total scam and rip off!!!

Proprietor was so helpful and accommodating! Would definitely stay here again. Easy checkin and quick responses. Excellent.

NO 🚫 Bear Lodge. My colleague and I reserved a double occupancy room since we were going to be in Big Bear for an event. The grounds were abandoned, unmaintained and unsafe. There were no other guests in the building when we arrived. (All the curtains were open to the empty rooms, and no other cars were in the parking lot. Only one other couple arrived later, to lodge in the otherwise EMPTY building.) The bannisters along the stairs were so shaky I didn't want to put any weight on them. The lock was broken on the front sliding window to our room. The bathroom window was cracked. The floor in front of the shower was so weak in one spot, that it sank when I stepped on the tile. The toilet was not securely bolted down. It rocked when I sat on it. The plaster was breaking away from the floor b
