Sneads Ferry RV Park

This place use to be nice. It’s not anymore. Residents are no longer required to clean up after themselves as some of the sites look like a dump. The current camp supervisor is nothing but a jerk who seems to harasses people. Watched while a resident was trying to back a trailer in and instead of getting off his tractor of power he just sat there and watched them struggle. Put a rooster in the middle of the camp because that’s what you want to get woken up by at 4 am every morning for a place you are laying to live. I was told I could not keep a spare trailer small for storage but all the other residents are building sheds and privacy fences. This places makes no sense anymore. I was never late on rent. You would never list this as a “resort”. Everyone smokes and few keep their dogs on a leash. Hope you like chickens cause they have 6 or 7 free range all over the sites. If the sound of pine cones landing on your rig bothers you … well get accustomed to it! Every site is under pine trees and every site is dirt

Sneeds Ferry RV park is a quiet park located about 5 minutes drive from the beach on North Topsail Island. This is an actual RV Community where the majority of persons live full time. The people are friendly, laid back, and welcoming. Price for a week was fair and reasonable at time of stay. They have full 30/50 hookups and water and sewer at each site. There are no amenities I.e. pool, bathhouse, laundry — but our unit is self contained and the local Laundromat is only 2 minutes drive away. Great stay, likely better for long term.

I came here to spend a few days with a friend and for being a long term park, it's interesting. The quiet hours are for the most park respected... except for the rooster and chickens wandering around. 4:30 am the rooster starts. Maybe there are 2? Holy crap. Asked how long this has been a thing, he said a few months. Went to my car, and a chicken was under it. Not a fan. There are a lot of ad hoc buildings, too. I can only imagine they make it hard for people that have to enter or leave to do so without a neighbor tearing things down. Maybe without the rooster(s) it would be fine for what it is, but 4:30? Come on.

Park is very well kept, pricing is reasonable. Internet is wonderful. We have starlink and with the wonderful amout of trees they will not let the starlink system get good service. So I am glad of the internet provider that is in the park. Great speeds/costomer service. Not like the big compines that want to keep going up on the cost year after year. So if you want to be close to the beach, close to stores, around great people and mean-while stay connected to the world & be under great trees to keep you out of the hot sun of North Carolina . This is the place to park your RV.
