Seaview Fishing Pier and Motel

Upon arriving, we requested an ocean view room for our family of four. At check-in, the front desk asked how many were in our party—a question that wasn’t asked when we booked over the phone. Once we said four, we were told we couldn’t stay in the original room due to fire code limits (only 2 allowed), and the only option left was a parking lot view. Very disappointing that this was never clarified during booking. Motel is is an older fishing motel, very bare bones, cheaper than most stays in the area but you get what you pay for. No basic amenities included like most motels in the area. The room and hallway smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals trying to mask mildew in the carpet, and also the bathroom; everything appeared clean though. If you're not a local, stay somewhere else! I've spent the vast majority of my life vacationing on Topsail Island -- I consider it my second home. My family and I always stayed at our oceanfront condo -- until June, when my parents decided to sell it (which broke my heart). My birthday is in November, and my only wish for my birthday this year -- which happened to be a major milestone birthday -- was to go home to Topsail. I knew that my first trip back would not be easy, since it would be the first time I wouldn't be at the condo, but I figured that staying at a decent place by the ocean would make things more bearable and would still allow me to have a happy birthday. Nice, quiet, clean. Juanita assisted me in room reservation while the fish were biting and I couldn't leave pier. Thank you for the help, I'll definitely return because of people like Juanita going above and beyond.

Rooms are very small. It is quite outdated and could seriously use renovations, especially the bathroom in our room. Fairly quiet. The pier is very nice. The staff was great! Would stay again. But pricey for what you get, honestly. They did clean everything well, though. The restaurant was okay, pricey, though.

Didnt stay at the hotel... but Great place to fish first guy was a bit rude but great fishing spot! Caught a bluefish on the pier!
