Topsail Shores Inn

Another great stay! Stayed with husband over Valentine's Day weekend. Rooms are very clean, roomy and comfortable. Motel grounds are very clean. Only minutes away from North Topsail Beach, pier and beach accesses. Manager and desk clerk are very friendly. Already booked my family's summer vacation! Looking forward to using the pool. (It was closed in Feb, but was still very clean) I felt very safe. Can't say enough positive things. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to be close to the beach but not wanting to be in the large crowds and pay high beach prices.

Do NOT stay at this place. It was one of the most dreadful experiences I’ve ever had. Came to the Topsail Shores Inn with family and friends. 3 couples each of us had our own rooms. I had been here before and spoke so highly of this place I was excited to bring my husband and show him just how great it was. Man was I let down. I was here the beginning of June and several times before hand with my best friend for a girls trip and we couldn’t get over how friendly and inviting the staff was. This was not the case this time. The male on site, manager I believe (I don’t know his name) was so RUDE. He would walk around and “patrol” the Inn in a very strange almost creepy way. Positive: It was so cute and felt like a boutique hotel! The staff was kind and helpful. The hotel was clean, cozy, and had lots of space and a kitchenette. We had so much fun and really enjoyed it. Negative: The bathroom door didn?t shut all the way, but that?s no big deal. I wish the staff was more knowledgeable about local things since they live on the property. They also didn?t answer the phone and I called mult days so that was disappointig

My husband and I decided last minute to go down to Topsail for a quick weekend away. We found this Inn to be very reasonably priced and decided to give it a try. It was worth it. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great location. Coffee house across the street and brewery/restaurant in walking distance. We were very happy with our stay and will return again.

We’ve stayed at this motel many times over the past three years and have generally had positive experiences. However, our most recent visit was extremely disappointing and unsettling due to an encounter with the manager’s husband, Joseph Griffin. Over the years, we’ve heard stories from others about Joseph being aggressive and hostile toward guests, but we had never experienced it firsthand — until now. During this stay, I was in the room asleep with my 3-year-old while my husband walked to the nearby Dollar General. A friend of mine, who I didn’t even know was stopping by, came up the outdoor stairs with her dog to knock on our door, unaware that pets aren’t allowed upstairs.
