**Preface: this is our very first camper experience** I called day of to make a reservation for one night. We are Sneads ferry locals, just bought a camper and wanted to book somewhere close to try everything out. I spoke with Mandy, she was very helpful. Check in was simple. Pick up envelope at the gate mailbox. Included: gate card, map with our site circled and directions drawn in, campground rules, list of local restaurants. Camp site was simple and spacious. A little uneven, but nothing we couldn’t work with, even as first timers. The scenery was beautiful! Clean wash rooms. Couldn’t use the pool (November) but it was a good size. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! We loved the campground, fishing dock/pier, sunrises and sunsets, the clubhouse with its AC and all its games and puzzles. We also appreciated the laundry facilities. The only “complaint” we might have is that the pool water was a bit warmer than we would have preferred given how hot it was outside. But I’m not really sure how you can control that. Even with that said, we loved it here and can’t wait to return!

We had a peaceful and great stay here for 2 weeks. The campground is beautiful, quiet, clean and we enjoyed it overall. The sites are not well leveled and on grass and we had to work around couple of big holes but overall decent and we settled well. Majority of people here are residents full time or part time. We didn’t meet any other travelers. The playground and pool are very nice. There are 2 dog parks that are large and great for the pups. We loved walking under the beautiful trees and walking up the water overlook. Close to town and stores. Every business we visited in Sneads Ferry was very good, clean with good service and products. We enjoyed the Easter Party at the clubhouse- it was well organized and there was a fun egg hunt for the kids- we just wish there were more kids.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The site itself was basic but spacious compared to some places we have stayed. We didn’t have any shade, which was hard given the 100 degree weather, and this is the beach, so be prepared for sand and ants. But none of those are the fault of the campground (though I might ask for a shaded site next time!). The location made it easy to access the beach in under 15 minutes, there is a Food Lion just 8 minutes away and we were only 30 minutes to Jacksonville. Plenty of restaurants in Sneads ferry, surf city, etc. The pool was clean and had plenty of seating and the community room was air conditioned and well stocked with games, books and puzzles. My apology for not reviewing before now, I thought I had. This encore property so far was one of the best. The grounds are well kept, bath houses clean and stocked. I had limited contact with office staff, but weird that during a chat with manager I was dumped in our conversation for her to start a conversation with another guest/member. So I just walked out, another lady came out with pages of info for my inquiries. Other than that the stay was great, beautiful photos and videos I shared online. Charlie and his wife (annual site holders) were great to sit with while his two dobermans and my Shepherd played everyday. Yes, I'll go back. Yes, I recommend. Sorry for the delayed review, it was an oversight.
