Sleepy Hollow Resort

Arrived may 24-30th 2pm open sign up but was told they don’t open till3pm……..okay should we come back later!! No it’s ready the female said. Nice cabin, clean. May 28 trying to enjoy a nice dinner at 6pm and were attacked by many mosquitoes,windows closed,door closed but yet they in and around our food, got frustrated and went to bed to get away from them, yet they bothered us all nite,under covers ,buzzing all nite, biting. In fact my son and granddaughter had to leave early due to mosquitoes. We decided to pack up and leave may 28. Went to office to pay the remainder which was supposed to be open but at 930 no one in office. For five days owners never stopped by,never emptied the trash, didn’t clean the fish house w/ fish cuts stinky. Wednesday morning the shower stall and bathroom si

New ownership... I dont know who the last owners were. They have been there for a year. Jeremiah, one of the new owners was very friendly and went out of his way to help us and our family. Cute, quaint, quiet place for the family vacation. It has the old school feel. Not a busy place. Further than most resorts or cabins from the twin cities. But well worth the drive for a vacation.

The cabin we stayed in was very nice and I really enjoyed my time there. I was not happy at all about the way they told us we had to leave a deposit before we left for the following year. I've stayed at 2 other resorts on the same lake and they reserved our cabin for the following year and gave us until February of the following year to send a deposit. That December my fishing partner found out he needed surgery and was going to be off work for at least 4 months and wanted to cancel the trip for the following year. I contacted the owners in the beginning of December to let them know. They sent me a check for my deposit but kept $50.00 for a service charge. I wouldn't have really been upset if we didn't leave plenty of time to get the cabin rented and if it were one of the other resorts on

Sleepy Hollow was a great experience. Kirk and Mari are such nice people and make every effort to make your stay one of a kind at Sleepy Hollow. They have tons of things for the kids to do. Boats are easy to rent and the boat dock was right next to the cabins. There is ample space for everyone around the property to relax and enjoy. The town is not far and has a few interesting things to do as well. Fishing is great and the lake is beautiful. My favorite part is the Hillbilly hot tub. If this resort isn't on your consideration list, it should be!

I wanted to go to a resort with cottages just like i did when i was a kid and this was a real treat. Stayed in a cottage. My husband, daughter and 2 sons had a blast. They have a large float you can swim to with 2 fun attachments to play on. We rented a boat and took it all over the lake. Lots of perch to be caught off the dock. All together it was great and would do it again.
