Sleep Inn & Suites Douglas

I've stayed at this hotel several times now, and it's usually a great experience. This time was only different because the top sheet on the bed had old blood stains on it. They had obviously been laundered, but yuck. I was too tired to switch rooms, and there was a second bed in the room, so I just slept in that one. Otherwise, my stay was good.

Very good stay. We found the room clean, quiet, and comfortable. The public areas similarly showed care and good maintenance. Breakfast included many good choices, including several proteins. Well done!

Overall, my room was acceptable and clean, and price was good. The total property is in pretty good shape, nice pool, hot tub and workout room (though minimalist). However, they need to offer more housekeeping options that "every Wednesday" or if I ask. I felt awkward asking for service but stayed Thursday-Sunday, so my room was definitely in need of housekeeping by the time I left. If it had been two of us, we would for sure have had to ask. And this new fad of not providing housekeeping is getting under my skin. Basically I am now just paying for a bed. Also, the room was stocked with thin but clean towels, but only two of each. If you are not planning on housekeeping at all, then at least stock the room with a minimum of four PLUSH towels. I could have asked for more towels, bu

It was clean, quiet and comfortable. Some places no longer offer blow dryers, coffee makers, refrigerators or microwaves or they offer some but not all. Every comfort and item that makes a stay easy and nice were in my room.

This place is actually super nice. Rotating breakfast bar - French toast sticks and sausage and omelets. Waffle maker. English muffins. Yogurt. Plenty of stuff. Rooms are clean. Heat/AC Cranks. Beds are comfortable and the pillows are excellent. Big clean bathrooms.
