Sleep Inn & Suites College Station near University

My family stayed at Sleep Inn on Graham Road February 6 to 9 2026 We have been staying here from when hotel was built and have always been pleased until this weekend. Friday our toilet wouldn’t flush so that night my wife went down to office to report and they gave her a plunger to unstop herself. We continued to have issues the whole stay. Saturday evening didn’t have any hot water took cold shower. The remote control to tv didn’t work.

The price was great and the rooms were clean. The coffee pot in the room did not work because the part where you place the coffee was not the one for the water part. Also, theglass doors to the shower had soap scrum along the bottom of the glass. If I needed to stay longer I would have complained.

I have enjoyed this hotel it’s been very helpful during a difficult time of transition. It was affordable, safe, and the staff is always super friendly. The breakfast is modest but, the lady that hosts the breakfast is always very friendly, clean and attentive. The front desk is always very kind and helpful. Overall it’s decently cleaned. I wish it was a little bit more deeply cleaned. Some rooms seem to be cleaner than others, it’s not super super fancy but I found myself coming back to book here because of the affordability consistency and it just felt good to be in .

The rooms were fine except for a bit of a stale smell and some pretty bad stains on the carpet. The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast was typical for this type of hotel. So why such a poor rating? The first issue was the exercise room which must have been put in just for show as it was almost useless and poorly laid out. The treadmill stopped midstream and I nearly fell off. After trying to reset it it worked for about 20 seconds. The elliptical and bike worked but were pretty old. There was no remote for the TV or ac so it was pretty warm in there. And the hand weights didn't have matching weights. I also found it offensive that they have fox news on all the public TV's.

Positive: The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic the lady is awesome host and cook Negative: First of all there was no remote in the room the front desk wouldn't even bring us another one we had to go down there in our underwear. Second of all for the second time on a stay here the air conditioner didn't work it was making all kinds of noise .
