Sleep Inn & Suites Cave City

What a surprise to end a days travel at a nice, clean, and quiet hotel. I was not expecting clean rooms and nice linens in rural Kentucky. Well done staff and management. One drawback was the shower water temperature being barely like warm.

I stayed at this hotel back in April and again last Saturday. I noticed a marked difference in the room as well a breakfast. The room we stayed in was clean overall but a bit worn. The curtains had streaks from sun damage. We also found someone else's food in our refrigerator. Nothing too big but much dif than I had remembered. I had recommended this hotel to friends that we were traveling with and all were underwhelmed. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment as options were very limited. The fruit selection included only bruised apples. Not sure what has happened since my last stay but hope that you will take a look and revise your standards.

On 12/12/25 at approximately 1 am my mother, my daughter and I stopped at the sleep inn in cave city on our way to Memphis. I made a reservation online for the night while sitting in the parking lot as online rates are usually cheaper. When I went in to check in the desk clerk, who was very kind and helpful, noticed since it was past midnight I had made my reservation for Friday night instead of Thursday. I explained what had happened and he tried but could not refund my money and neither could online customer service. I went ahead and paid for Thursday and we stayed the night. On Saturday I called the hotel and spoke with the general manager, Kathy Carlon, who told me despite making the reservation only minutes before attempting to check in and it being an obvious mistake that I since I

The room was nice for the price and the lady at the desk was a sweetheart. The only problem we had was the housekeeping. The jacuzzi was obviously not cleaned for quite some time, as it had lots of soap scum and beside the bed on the floor was either toe nails or thick skin clippings so the floor hadn't been vacuumed. The bed was supposed to be a king but looked more like a queen to us (we didn't care about that). Good location, smelled nice, friendly staff, etc. Just need to pay closer attention to housekeeping.

As everyone said, the breakfast is very lackluster. Smallest of any hotel I have stayed at in years. Biggest negative was the breakfast and large wet spot in the carpet that soaked through my socks when we checked in. Reported it the next day and staff thought it may be from the AC unit but would check (just kinda gross to have unknown liquid seeping into a sock). Room was clean and staff were friendly. Sofa bed extremely uncomfortable but it is a sofa bed.
