Sleep Inn - Salisbury I-85

The hotel suits the price. The lobby and rooms are clean and inviting. The hotel staff was very accomodating. The first room we checked into smelled of smoke- even thought hotel boasts 100% smoke free. The front desk attendant let us move to another room immediately and the other didn't smell. After we got settled in the 2nd room - the heat was not working. We waited for about an hour for it to warm up, however it continued to blow cold air, so we asked to be moved again. Again, she was very accomodating and moved us immediately to a 3rd room. This room didn't smell of smoke and was finally warm and comfy - 3x the charm. Overall, the stay was comfortable, the hotel was quiet and convenient to things in town and the Polar Express.

This hotel is very underrated. The quality was very good and the room was in very good condition with no problems. The only issue was the staff talking very loudly and I could hear them in my room. On my first day there the lady at the front desk was talking and arguing with her boyfriend/husband on speakerphone. Unacceptable and unprofessional and this needs to be stopped immediately. She needs a talking to, perhaps a bit more. Other than that I enjoyed the stay.

Positive: Nothing it was a total dump. It was disgusting. Negative: There were cockroaches, only one channel on the TV, no Internet, very dirty, staff didn’t care, people barbecuing in the parking lot it was very dirty

No elevators. Deposit charge at check in. Could not accommodate a handicapped accessible room. Worst of all, Manager Darlene (refused to give last name), instructed her front desk staff to tell customers that if they didn’t like it, they can go somewhere else. She does not belong in a managerial position that puts her employees in a bad position with customers. The front desk clerk was very helpful and nice despite the situation she was put in. We are rewards members and travel frequently for business. We will never stay at that hotel again.

Overall is an excellent place to stay especially for the rates. Management is outstanding and staff is absolutely splendid. Coming from being a Hiltons honors member, this hotel will do just fine whenever I come into town
