The hotel policy is to allow no locals without a $200 cash deposit. Yet I was able to book this hotel online using a local address. Upon arrival the desk clerk acted like we were inconveniencing him by checking in… zero customer service skills. The room was pretty dirty. The shower was clean however it did not work. At this point it was already midnight, we just went to sleep. We talked to the manager at checkout and she was even less considerate. Instead of apologizing she told us it was our fault for not requesting another room. She also stated since the reviews say the rooms are clean, they don’t ever have an issue with it, insinuating I was lying. Eventually gave me $50 off the stay and “apologized”
I would not recommend this place. It felt like the rug was old and crusty the bathroom ceiling was peeling the ac/heat needs some cleaning. The shower bar was broken so the shower curtain kept sliding open. Curtains need to be replaced they smell musty and of smoke. Front desk was complaining to me about trucks with trailers, having to set up breakfast the next morning, and how they don’t want to spend money to fix things. Seemed not to enjoy being there and I just wanted my check in to be fast since I had just driven all day. Did not have breakfast. I was charged $98 for a room on a Wednesday night when it is advertised for around $50 online. My ac was not working when I got in the room so I called from desk they told me they were not maintenance and I couldn’t be given another room beca
The hotel is deteriorating. Plumbing issues evident in our room and in the dining area. Walls in our room need washing. The bathroom was clean but around the tub water damage evident. Toilet tank leaks. The handle to one of the drawers was off and in the drawer but the screws were too short for my husband to replace it. We used duct tape to make pull flaps. Bedside clock needed batteries but front desk had a plug in placed in the room. Stated that there weren't supposed to be battery clocks. Staff still very friendly and helpful but wonder what the conditions will be next time we are in Salisbury. The breakfast selections have decreased from what were provided previously. I understand that is happening at almost all hotels.
Hotel was clean. Room cleaned daily and new linen everyday. The tub and shower looked like brand new. Fridge and microwave in the room is helpful. I wished you had a cooktop in the room. I would stay for my entire 6 week travel nurse assignment. |The only con is the breakfast. The exact same things available everyday. I loved the sausage but after 2 weeks of the same… the waffles are good though
I only gave a 7 because when we checked in the guy behind the desk smelled like pot, there was a stink bug in the room and the rack for hanging clothes was pulling out of the wall, rug also had a pretty good stain. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was comfortable.
