Sleep Inn Morganton Southeast

Never stay in the hotel. I checked in and walked in my non-smoking room which you could cut the smell of smoke with a knife. Was going to tough it out for a night, but then as I was getting ready to unload my stuff into my room, passed a tall male walking to the hallway, he touched my sholder and explicity said "Don't Worry I Won't Do Anything To You." Immediately I went to my car, it was then I noticed him watching me at my car. Called the front desk from my locked car, they couldn't do anything, called choice who also couldn't do anything, and then called the manager who did not want to do anything about a potential predator staying in the hotel. As a choice member, I would NEVER stay in this hotel. I moved hotels, and will move my membership.

BED BUGS, BED BUGS, BED BUGS!!! When we initially checked in the fron desk lady was very friendly and helful. We checked our room out and it was clean, ill say one of the cleaner hotels ive been in. However there was no carpet just tile in the room. And everything looked pretty new, linenes, mattreses, chair ect. I believe the hotel was recently remodeled so i didnt think much of it. After a shower we layed down in bed to watch some tv and as the minutes went by little red bugs started coming out to great us. I smashed one and it popped blood out like a blotted mosquito would. Then we took a picture of one an google said bed bug. I captured one and took it in a cup to the frond desk staff. She wanted to help us and was very polite and understanding. She calledthe manager and he only want

Nice and easy stay. I travel a lot for work, and this is one of my spots in the state. Nice and quiet stay. Easy access from the interstate. Several food options nearby. Staff is always polite and nice, easy to work with and offering help.

Pros: The room was VERY clean, the staff was friendly, and the beds were comfortable Cons: The hotel is a bit older and the breakfast was sparse (waffles, frozen breakfast sandwiches, bagels, toast, cereal) Overall, it was a great stay. The hotel was well-worth the price. I would stay again.

There were not a lot of hotel options in Morganton, but this appeared to be ok. The bed was comfy, but the other furniture looked out dated. The ice machine seemed not to be so clean as there was black stuff in my ice, so I refused to use it. They had a water machine that would supply drinking water that needed a filter change. The phone was broken. The room also lacked outlets for me and my daughter to charge our electronics. The shower was super small, and water only heated up so much, but I was able to deal with it. Breakfast was ok, but expect a gourmet meal. The staff was nice. So kudos to them for making the best of what we were working with. Not sure if I would choose this option again to stay, but I guess it they will fix some things in the future to make it better.
