Sleep Inn Lithonia - Atlanta East

Honest review: there is a 60.00 security deposit along with the price of the rooms, but I got it back 2 days later back on the card. The room rate was very cheap. The room wasn't the cleanest, could definitely use more of a deep clean. The refrigerator didn't work. The shampoo holder in the shower was broken so there was no shampoo in the room but the guy at the front desk gave me some. There was no hair dryer in the room. The microwave looked dirty, didn't use it. The property was quiet when we were there, it was chill. The front desk guys were nice. Breakfast was alright; waffles, bagels, cereal, etc. The area has a Walmart nearby and various food places and it's right off the interstate outside of Atlanta. It's fine if you need a place for a quick stay at a cheap rate.

I chose this hotel based on a number of things, price, convenience, and the all important breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. The hot breakfast advertised was not hot at all. There were no hot options. The pans, etc., were there for it, but nothing was in them. I’m typically okay with a shift like this, but what was available was extremely limiting. There was no protein option. Most places at least have boiled eggs and yogurt available in the fridge. Not here. The only thing in the fridge were butter packets, jam packets, and a pitcher just labeled “milk”. Not individual milk cartons as you get elsewhere, just milk. No indication of what kind of milk, just labeled milk. There were almost no danishes either. What was there was a few donut holes and literally two pieces of bread. I

⚠️ DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! ⚠️ We checked in early in the morning on June 8, 2025, and woke up a few hours later to find bed bugs crawling in our bed and a roach in the room. It was disgusting and completely unsafe — we felt violated and uncomfortable knowing we had been sleeping in those conditions. We immediately checked out and went to the front desk to report what happened. Instead of showing any urgency or concern for our safety, the staff acted careless and dismissive. They just had us fill out a form and told us to contact Danny, the manager, for a refund. Danny promised to mail a refund check after we sent the photos and the report, but five months later, we’ve received nothing. We’ve called, emailed, and even followed up multiple times — still no response. The staff act cluel

My dismal recommendation does not stem from the accommodation itself. The hotel, its rooms, amenities, food, cleanliness, and services were good for a discount property. I did find the rooms to be warmer than I would like, and my thermostat did not work. I booked 3 rooms for myself and 2 friends travelling with me. At the time of booking I used my wife's credit card to book the rooms. When we arrived, after 19 hours of travel from Toronto, Canada, the hotel staff told me that all rooms had to be paid on the same credit card. I've been to this location several times and I have not been disappointed. Rooms are always spotless and the breakfast is a great feature. It's quiet and smoke free which is a plus. The front desk associate is always pleasant and willing to go the extra mile.
