We did some reviews and it was between Cardinal Inn and this place. Cardinal Inn never got back to us so we decided to go with this place. It looks a little rundown when pulling up, but don't let that fool you! We got the Non-Smoking King Bed Jacuzzi Suite and we were pleasantly surprised. |||| We didn't know what to expect and honestly my expectations weren't that high, but they were surpassed. The bed was very comfortable, the a/c super cool, the showers nice and hot, and very quiet and peaceful. It's just own of the main part of town, so not a lot of cars at all. My husband and I really had a great night's sleep. ||||I can't speak for the other rooms, but this one was especially nice. Looks just like the pictures. It comes with a refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee pot. Howeve

We did not stay at the Skyline Inn, however did stop there for a bit to eat and enjoyed a nice time in the bar area with GREAT food. Unfortunately we missed the lunch time in the dinning area, but settled for a meal in the bar area and were pleasantly surprised. The bar area is not much to look at but service was excellent and the food was amazing....fried chicken that was super! We had a specialty beer brewed in Virginia on the tap menu and it was served perfectly in a chilled glass. The fireplace in the lobby was going and the mood was relaxed. Will stop again next time!

One star is just to get your attention. Stay away from this place, if you can't find a place to sleep other than here. Sleep in your car, the woods would be a better choice. They rent rooms by the week, and most of the occupants, you don't want to be around and you definitely don't want to have your family in this kind of environment.

We arrived at the hotel in a thick mist, and were glad to stop driving!||The rooms were located in units spread across the large site, wood panelled walls and a hint of eco-centricness was a slight concern. A new day and new view, sunshine and beautiful Fall colours soon altered all that! The restuarant was efficient and good value, and good quality. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.

This was one of the cheapest hotels we could find in the area, so we may just have gotten what we paid for, but there were a number of issues with our stay. The Xfinity remote was missing but that was easily ramified by borrowing the reception's remote. We encountered a few live and a bunch of dead bugs in the room, the wood on the bathroom door was peeling, the room had a weird smell, the shower was a little warmer than luke-warm, the shower head was only spraying out of few holes and the blinds in the bathroom were missing pieces. The hotel is across the street from the railroad and the room does little to block the noise of trains going by. On the plus side the bed itself was pretty comfortable and they had lots of channels on the TV.
