Silver Springs Motel

This hotel is very dated. The website shows it has renovated rooms but ours certainly was not. It smelled very musty and the furniture and flooring were very old. Seems like the smell was coming from the very old furniture..The bed was comfortable enough and the sheets and towels were clean. Nice hot water in the shower. The AC unit didn't work but thankfully it was not hot weather. You have to give a $25 cash deposit to guarantee you will return the room key and the TV remote. Once you occupy the room, there are no refunds. You'll get your $25 back after they inspect the room when you check out. Seems that this is a place for long-term residents.

My fiance had made reservations for 2 rooms. He, my mother and I were staying there for the weekend of our wedding bon Oct 3. We arrived late, I had tried to call to let them know, no answer. There were NO SHEETS ON EITHER BED IN #21. Management had to go buy sheets for one bed. Then the PD shows up with K-9 and police everywhere... two doors from my mom and my room, #27, trying to arrest a man with a warrant the police were attempting to arrest. He didn't want to come out and I was ordered into my room.||The room was not really clean. The bathroom sink had been stopped up and nasty water sitting in it. Went to office, maintenance came and unstopped it, and left a big, watery, dirty mess that I had to clean up|| When I pulled the covers back, there was a huge hole right in the middle where

The Silver Springs Motel is my favorite lay over spot in Ocala. Convenient to the stores, restaurants and Silver Springs State Park. It's an older building, but cozy and the crew that takes care of the place is always helpful and ready to make sure your stay is comfortable. Dog friendly, 420 friendly and friendly in general.

Hi my name is Joseph Riley and I practically grew up around the silver springs motel rhe owner Molley Hale I will always carry with me so deeply fond memories of Molly always taking us kids to the Lake House to go swimming and orher outdoor activities. This was another property that the Owners had in addition to the Silver Springs motel. I recall on the weekend Bob Hale a Owner as well of the Silver Springs motel making homemade biscuits and gravey so so good. Apart from everything the Silver Springs motel is in my opinion a historic icon for Ocala as a whole. Upon checking in to stay a night or two you will always get the very same professional service as the last person recived. I do hope if you get a chance stop in and start your memories as well . Clean Sheets, Cold Air, Nice Pool. Bed was stained and beyond usable. Two towels look used for 4 people, no blankets, 3 pillows for 4, shower was nice and Hot. A good thing because of black feet from floors being dirty. No toilet paper and never brought any. Did have clean sheets. No bugs. No trash cans in room. Trash cans over flowing outside. Cops sitting outside watching dealers. Main lobby is nice up front and pool is nice. No way I'd bring kids. Used bandaid on floor. Girl at des was sweet and apologized over and over
