Silver Inn

Myself and a buddy stayed at the Silver Inn this past December 12th for 2 nights. We we're coming up from KC to ski Copper Mountain. So our plan was to drive thru the night directly to the mountain parking lot and get ski ready. We rolled thru Denver about 7am local and half way up the mountain decided that it would be nice to see if we could check into the hotel and get ready, or at least drop off our luggage. (Check in was 2,3 pm) so even a drop off would have been great. I called the hotel and was thrilled when (Sophia?) the owner said yes come on over and you guys can check in, try that at a "chain hotel" lol.) So her and her son Tom are absolutely fantastic. This is a quiet and tidy hotel. Our room was large, very nicely decorated and comfortable. It had a microwave and refrigerator. The continental breakfast was fairly minimal with bagels, pastries, juice and fruit. The gentleman at reception was pleasant and helpful. Across the street from the hotel you can access the Silverthorne Bike Path which is a very well-maintained paved walking and biking trail which runs along a river. I walked along it for a mile or so and it was very pleasant. Another feature I liked about the Silver Inn was the 2:00 check-in time. All in all, this seems like a fine hotel.

Had a wonderful stay! The price is great for the location. It’s an older hotel, but it’s well maintained and clean. Breakfast is very simple, but that’s okay, don’t expect too much for what you’re paying. The staff are friendly and kind, and it was a quiet, comfortable stay. There’s no elevator, so if you have mobility issues or have heavy luggage, it’s best to request a room on the first floor.

Really enjoyed our stay at Silver Inn and will use this as a return hotel in the future. Sure there are small things that could be better but for cost and quiet environment it's a winner! The staff were attentive to any requests and wished my wife happy birthday 3 or 4 times as they saw us come and go. Rooms were very clean and hot tub/sauna was clean. Grounds are well kept, yes the toilet is short not a big deal.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Silver Inn and their staff. My family and I had spent a week in Breckenridge for our family vacation, and after loading up our SUV to leave, it wouldn’t start. We had to scramble to make arrangements to have our vehicle towed, find a ride for the 5 of us with luggage to a hotel, as well as find a hotel that could take us in on such short notice. My husband and I both started making phonecalls simultaneously and were shocked and disappointed to find that so many hotels weren’t even answering their phones! Mrs Kipta not only answered, but gladly took us in, and made arrangements so that we could check in early, even though they had been booked completely the night before.
