Hampton Inn & Suites Silverthorne

Hotel was fine overall. Easy access and check-in. Room was clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was as-expected. It would have otherwise be a 4 or 5-star experience, but the pool and hot tub were down (in a ski country hotel in mid-season), with a sign from management saying that it had "just" happened (though the sign appeared to be weeks of months old), and that parts were on order. I understand things break, but a hot tub in a ski-town hotel is a pretty significant amenity, meriting at least some prior notification or offsetting compensation.

I was charged for parking even though it was never mentioned to me at check in and was not included in my booking rate. The parking lot had plenty of parking and I was never even asked for my license plate number or if I had a car. When I called to inquire I was rudely told it is listed under amenities on the website and she refused to do anything about it. ||On both nights we stayed there the hot water dispenser had water that was barely warm to make tea. On the second night I did mention it to the front desk worker who was nice about it and went to the back and changed it out at least. ||One of the nights there the room didn't have hot water for a shower which was quite unpleasant. ||The second morning for breakfast at 7:30am there was zero hot food in the warming trays. My fiancé and I truly enjoyed our stay. John checked us in and was so accommodating, friendly and helpful. The property is very well maintained with beautiful area for breakfast/lounging. Our room clean and nice with a refrigerator and coffeemaker even though guest lobby/lounge area had free coffee. EV charge point charging which was a total bonus. Nearby walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Beautiful views. Quiet and spacious rooms. Upon check out Ruth was wonderful with adding my Hilton Honors to my booking and checking out. Overall fantastic stay. You will not be disappointed with this hotel property.

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Experience. As frequent Hilton guests, this was without question the worst experience we have ever encountered at any Hilton property. We arrived genuinely excited for what we expected to be a pleasant stay. Instead, we were immediately met with a defensive and unwelcoming attitude from the manager at the front desk. There was an evident internal miscommunication within their team, as we were provided with incorrect pricing information prior to arrival. Despite the hotel’s mistake, we approached the situation calmly and respectfully, simply seeking clarification and a reasonable solution. We checked in around 9pm to a room I had reserved in advance. The check in was extremely simple and the staff beyond pleasant kind even giving us bottles of water when learning we had walk there through the storm from the bus station a mile away. We stayed in a one bed room with a beyond beautiful view overlooking a creek and fairly private from outside looks. The room was extremely clean with a large television and a selection of amenities such as a refrigerator and a miniature coffee maker. The breakfast included with your ticket price is yummy served in a time frame allowing people to sleep in. I felt welcomed and comfortable my entire stay
