Silver Creek

We stayed in room 5106 which is supposed to sleep 9+ people. On the first night we opened the pull out couch that was listed for the last bed and it had stains all over it, dirt, and no sheets. So we had to figure it out. We had less than 1 towel per person for the trip. The hot water ran out in the middle of our first shower. Our fridge went out and we lost all of our food. The phone in the room didn’t work. The room layout is nice, better kitchen than we have had in other silver creek rooms and more living space. The outside pool and hot tub have been closed for our entire stay and the pool doesn’t open until noon. When you do go to the pool there are people watching you. The tubing on silver creek doesn’t open until 3p and they made my 4yr old ride by himself and it wasn’t groomed well.

I loved the skis, Snowshoe Mountain, and Silver Creek itself — but my experience with an employee named Olivia at Silver Creek Rentals was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. On our last day of skiing, my son and I had demo skis from Mountain Adventure Center (MAC). Because Silver Creek has night skiing, I called Snowshoe customer service ahead of time to ask if I could return those specific demo skis at Silver Creek instead of trekking back to MAC. Linda from customer service was very kind and assured me it would absolutely be fine and not a problem at all. However, when we arrived at Silver Creek after night skiing to return the skis, Olivia yelled at us from across the room with our backs turned, saying, “Ahhhh nope! Mountain Adventure skis go back to Mountain Adventure,” in a v

Good enough. Sauna, pool, & 365-day restaurant with friendly(!) staff. Concrete between the floor to almost silence any noise from above. Rapid elevators. Absolutely magical sunrises for some units. Units facing the ski slope have low light and noise from the snow-making machines and late-night slope maintenance crows, which might be reassuring to some. HOA staff is very helpful. Each unit individually owned. My unit was 100% contemporary with in-unit modern washer and dryer.

I don’t often write reviews for places that I visited, but felt I needed to leave one for Silver Creek Lodge at Snowshoe Mountain. I’ve snowboarding and stayed at many ski resorts and this by far has been the worst experience that I’ve ever had. We decided to come here last weekend with our family for a weekend of skiing and upon checking into the room we noticed that one of the bedrooms had a broken TV as if it was hit with something. We immediately called the front desk who then sent somebody from maintenance up to the room to confirm that the TV was in fact broken, but assured us that we would not be charged for the television. I mean the place was over all good, great skiing and hot tubs, spacious hotel and rooms. The only problem i have is the amount of flies in our room. Im not sure how they integrated into my hotel room, but it’s whatever since i can practice my skills on them so thats why 4 stars. Theres also a weird and nasty stench in the hallways but thats nothing to worry about too much as the rooms are fine.
