Silver Cloud Hotel - Tacoma Waterfront

I absolutely love the Silver Cloud Hotel on the Tacoma Waterfront. Every time I stay here, it instantly becomes the most relaxing place I could imagine. Yes, there is a train line that runs along the waterfront and you will hear it throughout the night. But honestly, even with the train passing by, this hotel somehow feels incredibly peaceful. One of my favorite things about this older location is that you can still open the windows. Being able to let in the fresh air, hear the water, and just relax while looking out over the bay in the Jacuzzi bathtub is something you rarely get at hotels anymore. Delighted, delighted, delighted with our stay here. Front desk was friendly and professional, the guest room and common areas "spotless", furnishings updated and decor appealing!. Our view was of the cargo ships entering and leaving the Tacoma Port. There is a wonderful waterside walk going both north and south with numereous walkouts to historical landmarks and easy walks to a few waterview restaurants. Breakfast had numereous selections and eating area very pleasant with waterviews from every table. There are 3 cons that absolutely did not affect us but may others: No pool, the frontage road is fairly busy with Ruston Point Traffic, and a train crossing alarm close by-which in our guest room was very muted-personally I am comforted with the sound of transported goods moving across t

This is my favorite hotel. Being literally on the water is very relaxing. There are higher end touches that make it nicer than other hotels in the area but with the same price. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is great, and the dining area is beautiful. The staff is incredibly warm and accommodating too. When I checked in Bailey helped me. I wanted to change rooms just to be on the other side of the hotel, she was so incredibly nice and accommodating. I felt like a jerk, she didn't bat an eye. She was just super kind and professional. I was really impressed.

The room i stayed in was nice and roomy (but I was traveling alone). The hotel was quiet. The free breakfast was simple and decent. I really loved the view though! Right on the water! The staff was very friendly 😊
