They advertise as upscale which it is not. It is a very standard hotel. The lobby is nice and service was decent. They room was very basic and had the loudest ducting system I have ever dealt with in a hotel room. Was truly horrible. Room was clean. Valet was proactive and had our car ready for checkout. Will definitely find a different location next time.

First time using the keyless card feature. I checked in, but when got to hotel realized I had to pay for parking so we had to go up to front desk anyway. Turns out I was at the wrong hotel and had to walk across the street. So make sure you know where you are headed to the right Marriott. Area felt safe and we walked to a Mexican restaurant, Mexico Magico and although not great Mexican food the chips and salsa was good and food decent enough. Our room had nice view of Rainier.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Tacoma, and while there were some positive aspects, my overall experience left much to be desired. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the view from the room was lovely. The interior had a nice aesthetic, but it felt outdated, lacking the fresh touch expected from a hotel charging around $400 per night. Upon entering the room, I expected more attention to detail. Basic amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste were not provided, and I had to request these items. Additionally, while the hotel offered bottled water, I was surprised to find that there was an extra charge for it, which detracted from the welcoming atmosphere I anticipated. Having recently stayed at various Airbnbs that, despite similar pricing, offered a more personalized touch with t

As Marriotts go, this one’s below average, which is surprising considering the price and prominent location downtown and by the convention center. Bad for the brand, I’d say. Positives first: front desk was friendly and even though no upgrades were available for Gold, they handed me a nice bag of snacks. Hotel is easy to get around once you know how parking works. View of the water was a nice surprise. Real glassware in the rooms; sanitary plastic wrap a nice touch. Though the interior and room design is fairly modern looking, the soundproofing was below par. Easy to hear entire conversations from a nearby room. A few misses by housekeeping - random hairs in bathroom. What I can’t stop thinking about though is the coffee service. No coffee urns in lobby or dining area, just a Starbucks

The staff was nice but seemed confused about two parents checking in with their small child to a king room. They advised us that we were over the guest count when we confirmed our reservation. They offered to "resolve the situation" which seemed a little ridiculous but was fine. The hotel it's self was nice and clean. The valet was excellent. Always had our car when we needed it and was attentive. The room one has two mirrors, one in the bathroom and one in the armoire, which was obnoxious when trying to get ready for the day - especially when the armoire door kept closing on me. The pool was ok but the bottom of the pool felt gritty almost like it had dirt or tiny rocks in the bottom. The bistro staff was absolutely amazing! Check out was easy but when the statement came, there was a $55
