Silver Cloud Hotel - Seattle Lake Union

First time at the Silver Cloud Lake Union--the good and the not so good. The front desk made a mistake on my bill by adding parking for a second parking slot when I had only one car and had specified this with the front desk at check in. I had purchased the Park and Stay option on their website and had prepaid the Park and Stay . This was later corrected when I noticed this but it was a hassle that should not have happened. The suite purchased was large enough but be aware , the street noise was an irritant , even on the 4th floor. If you are a light sleeper , this could definitely be a deterrent . The room could have also used a refresh--furnishings look dated. Shower , TV's , internet , and heating/AC all worked well. Breakfast on the 3rd floor was included with the room--a positive. A

We typically stay at the U District location but this trip brought us more into the city. Our experience at South Lake Union Silver Cloud surpassed our expectations. The manager Melissa, was extremely helpful and professional. When she was unable to accommodate a promo for the museum pass, she made sure we had a beautiful view and parking. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a prime view of Lake Union, a clean room, safe location, and a welcoming experience!

Positive: The patio doors in my room I could open and enjoy the breeze Negative: There was construction at the front of hotel. I was put in the wrong type of room. Went back to desk- said would let me know when the patio room was available- never did!Went to desk when he left- had one available. I waited 3 hours in lobby!! Not happy!!

Great hotel and we’ll stay here again. Very nice room and friendly/helpful staff. Although located on a main road it was very quiet, with exceptional views of Lake Union and close to several good evening restaurants. Breakfast offerings were adequate. My only real problem was the lack of coffee. After breakfast closes at 9:30, there is no coffee available anywhere in the hotel. The pod coffee in the room is limited to 2 cups ……I can understand that. Some black tea would have been nice, but only a single green tea pod was supplied. Two small packets of sugar and 2 small creamers just didn’t cut it. There is no coffee available after 9:30 am and I was told I had to walk several blocks to a coffee shop (a 15 minute walk, and .7 mile according to maps). Both of us are pushing 80 and

We had a great stay! The breakfast options were amazing, we made sure to take advantage of that every morning, and you should too! The view from the breakfast nook was incredible, water and boats galore. The staff were great, "Ray" was super helpful kept us from missing our Uber even when it went to the wrong spot (Thanks Ray!). The beds and pillows were amazing as well. The bathroom is a little small, but if you're out and about that's not a deal breaker at all. A great location to catch a bus/trolley downtown for like $3 makes this a great spot, but walking may be a bit tougher - unless you're into that!
