Sierra Motel

Stayed at the Sierra Motel, address 380 E. Sierra Ave. Portola Ca 96122. for business on Friday, January 30 had room 114 when I pulled the comforter and sheet top sheet back I found bugs. I took pictures and reported it on the sign in log we used for work and then had to get another room as it was late night and no housekeeping was available. This is a sign that the bedding is not clean and and is unsanitary. Weather you stay in a motel for business or pleasure. Nobody should have to deal with bugs in the room or in the bed, the room should be cleaned thoroughly for each guest to enjoy their stay. I have included photos. Hope the problem is eliminated.

We spent two nights here in early June. The property is older and they maintain it well. The room was smaller, but very clean. They provide coffee in the room, satellite TV and free wifi. They staff are very nice. We arrived with two Rottweilers, one large and one young. Some properties won't even rent to us because of the breed of our dogs, but there were no questions asked here. The free breakfast and coffee from Nicole's was good, and the walk down there was pleasant. I would stay here again, if we needed a room in Portola.

Great clean experience. Cute breakfast spot. Amazing customer service. I left my wedding ring in our room and they not only found it but sent it back to me in the mail free of charge. Would 100% recommend for a budget friendly stay.

Nice spacious clean rooms. Right next to the motel is a frisbee park and Feather River Walking Trail. Good coffee, nice staff and great management. The best part are the trains, restaurants, and the town folk are friendly. Very nice location and pet friendly. I highly recommend this beautiful mountain town.

Comfortable and quaint. The room was very clean, and although the parking lot was full, it was a quiet stay. It came with a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The staff was super friendly, and breakfast was the highlight of our stay. They offer vouchers for free breakfast at Nicole's coffee depot, and it was hands down better than any lackluster continental breakfast I've had.
