Sherry Frontenac Oceanfront Hotel

We think this hotel is definitely worth the price if you’re looking for something budget-friendly. We didn’t expect too much from a 3-star hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was good and met our expectations. It was cleaned regularly whenever we wanted, and the housekeeping staff were very kind — they even knocked on our door to ask if we needed anything. There were no problems at check-in, and we actually received our room before 4 PM, which was a nice bonus. The location was perfect, very close to the beach. At the beach, we were provided with sunbeds by a friendly and funny guy, which made the experience even better. I had been to this place 38 years ago. When I came back just last week it was still the same, except all room had been updated dinning had been updated. The people who work here was wonderful. Mathew the call concierge was so delightful. I highly recommend staying here. Rooms were clean.Everything was clean if you needed room service or just to get your room claimed.It was done immediately. Definitely , would go back for a third time. I have no idea why it is a 3.1 star hotel.When it should clearly be a four star or higher. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel.It was a pleasure.

Positive: The ambience was excellent. The hotel has an old fashioned charm and character. It has slipped faultless into a modern hotel that maintains the same ideals that the founders must have wanted. This is no doubt thanks to the current management. Negative: I thought a doorman could be employed to help clients on arrival. It would simply add to the already existing charm of the property.

The Sherry Frontenac Hotel was once glamorous and stood for something elegant and beautiful. Now she is just old, tired and rundown and in need of a full makeover. The picture shown does not represent the room we had. |What we liked: the location, the size of the room and the view.|What we did not like: the breakfast buffet was an uncivilized feeding frenzy and the food was almost out every day no matter what time we went. |One elevator on each tower was not operational, and the other one on our side broke, leaving those who could not negotiate the stairs starnded in the lobby. The internet was spotty so if you require service for work, be aware. |People will book here becasue it is cheap but with that comes a certain breed of human. The staff are truly Delightful and accommodating. The location has so much to offer for fun, a bar with morning and afternoon Happy Hours 😊. Resturant "The 1977" has great menu selections. The beach is right out the door. The rooms are exceptionally clean if a little dated but that's part of her charm. There is a free Continental Breakfast with extras at an up charge. This was our first time in Miami and the Sherry Frontenac Oceanfront made it memorable.
