Sherman's Manistique Lakes

I’ve stayed at Sherman’s more than a dozen times over the past 20 years. Phil is always attentive and responsive. Always happy to strike up a conversation. The location is amazing and right on the water. This is the UP and a family owned camp, don’t expect all of the amenities you would have near a large city, but do expect nature. I tent camp normally and have never been disappointed. During a full day of rain, Phil was kind enough to let us use a vacant chalet, it was clean and comfortable. Curtis is a great little town as well. Fishing on this lake is great, and Phil is a great guide. Will continue to stay here.

This place is a wonderful place to disconnect from the busy world - and reconnect and relax with the family. It was our first time there, and the beautiful 10 minute drive through the forest on the dirt road set our expectations high.||||The resort doesn't disappoint once we arrived. The cabins were rustic and cozy, the lake was warm and gorgeous, and their grounds were full of amenities. There was something for everyone!! We basically lost our 4 elementary-aged kids the moment we got there. They sprinted out of the car to the lake and played on the beach and in the water for hours. After that they played with the turtle pond, then the play set, then back to the lake. ||||My wife and I enjoyed a beer in the Adirondack chairs on the beach while the kids played in 50 ft of shallow lake

We loved this place! Had a week-long family getaway and used the cabin as a home base while we visited all of the great attractions of the UP. Phil had the rowboat tied to the dock when we got there. The cabin was great. The water was great. The view from the cabin was great! The firewood was dry, the horseshoe pits are top notch! We saw osprey and loons and bald eagles. The fishing on the lake was great! Looking forward to coming back!

We stayed here as a home base to see all the attractions in the u.p. This is a really beautiful area, Phil takes great care of the grounds and the cabins are great! There’s all the luxuries of home with a stove, refrigerator and pots and pans. The area is very secluded so it’s really quiet too! If you didn’t want to leave for the day, there’s activities to keep you busy. I would definitely go back

Great place. Nice and quite. Good fishing. Phil is the Man. The only complaint would probably be the beds and uncomfortable furniture. I'll keep going.
