Shady Beach Campground

Cabins are good, clean, COOL, the fan helps with the loft area. We brought an oscillating fan and placed it in front of the air conditioner and that helped so much. It was a little awkward with everyone who works there just standing outside of the shop staring at you whenever you walk by but they are friendly if you talk to them. The area around the cabins is well maintained and clean. There was a lot of trash (food wrappers, beer cans/lids) along the rocks by the water which I was surprised about because I was there several years ago and it wasn't like that. The bus driver was really great - funny, loud and excited about the float! About 2 weeks before our trip, they shut down part of the river because the water was low so our float was cut in half. Man, this place was outstanding from the moment we pulled up. The staff was very friendly. It was probably one of the best river trips we’ve ever had. They were very accommodating. They even took us for a ride on their golf cart. We kayak down on the river, they took us to a spot and dropped us off, making the ride so fun all the way up then we came back down to the shady beach campground where they met us and helped us pull up our rafts and kayaks one of the best river trips I’ve ever had and one of the most friendliest staffs I have ever met definitely two thumbs up five star review I will be returning very soon.👍👍❤️❤️

Saturday, July 19th, was crazy busy! But these folks are experts and handled the crowd with ease. They even offered to haul our heavy cooler for us. Great campground and awesome floating. 10/10 highly recommend

We go on a family camping trip every year, but this was the first year we've visited this campground. We had a great time! The campground is well maintained. We appreciated the clean bathrooms.

We love Shady Beach Campgrounds. The guy who I think runs it is so nice, friendly and helpful. You can just let them know when you need to head up to float and he’ll take you. The young men helping with the rafts are the same. Friendly and helpful. I felt safe letting the big kids go up to the restroom and walk down to the river. We have not stayed in the cabins so no review on those.
