Shades of Green

This resort is an excellent, affordable option that rivals the other nearby deluxe resorts. The rooms are very spacious and provide enough room for 5 people to comfortably sleep in. The hotel itself and the grounds are extremely clean and tidy. The staff was kind and responsive to any requests we made. The transportation options to each park + Disney Springs were excellent and timely. We never experienced any issues with getting to/from the hotel. With Shades of Green you're getting the benefits of being "in the bubble" at a deluxe resort for a fraction of the costs to staying in a comparble resort. The exchange combined with the restaraunts available on resort grounds provided any need we may have had for food. We loved our 8 night stay here and would absolutely stay again.

The hotel was very clean and check-in was easy. The rooms were a decent size, and the bus to Disney was reliable and on time — just note that everyone needs ID, and non-military guests must get a guest pass from the hotel. We also appreciated the ticket office, which offered discounted tickets to Gatorland and other local attractions. On the downside, we had no hot water for two nights, the heated pools were still pretty chilly, and the hot tub rules were very strict, especially regarding age limits. Overall, a decent stay with some notable drawbacks.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The rooms are large and clean with housekeeping everyday unlike the Disney resorts. The pools are great and the restaurants (breakfast buffet, sports bar and nice dinner place) are excellent and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly. The location within Disney World can’t be beat. If you qualify as a veteran, Shades of Green needs to be your “go to” resort every time you are at Disney or anywhere in Central Florida. Book early!

Fantastic place especially given the price. The restaurants are great, excellent water amenities for the kids too. There is an exchange where you can buy almost everything you need including alcohol. They are doing some construction currently but it didn’t detract from our visit. The bus system to the parks is consistent and reliable. We will definitely come back!

Great location, spacious rooms, clean hotel, have to go through security to get on the property. Parking garage parking, Military hotel. Kinda outdated, nice little cafes, grounds and pools. My complaints are they have all the toiletries in bottles, there is no bars or individual bottles. With that being said they don’t provide conditioner just shampoo and body wash. I have to get use to bringing my own products. Also our phone rang and someone knocked on our door at 9am and they couldn’t tell us who called and who was at our door. They recommend a later checkout for this inconvenience. Overall I would stay again cause I felt safe and the hotel was clean
