Disney's Polynesian Village Resort

The resort is a real treat! Everyone (Dalia, Lawrence, & Betty Jo) was very friendly at check-in. The room was really nice, and I felt it was new/had been updated. I liked the patio and pool view as well. The wallpaper was fitting to the resort, wooden floors were nice, it was clean, beds comfy, water pressure hard, etc. (Note to Disney: you should consider moving the housekeeping carts from their permanent placement in the hallways- it brought down the ambiance when walking to room). Love the lobby with all the beautiful flowers, spaciousness, and high ceilings. The "beach" was very nice with the hammocks and activities. Gym was an open space, clean, and well equipped. The walkways are pretty. Having several options for pools and abundant pool chairs was nice. I know how hard Disney work

We stayed in a Studio Villa for 5 nights, and loved it! I love the location of this resort since it has access to the monorail. The inside and theming are very nice, too. I love the food options here as well, and you can get dole whip on site. The room was very clean and was equipped with everything we need. The resort is huge so there can be a lot of walking depending on where your room is located. The pool is beautiful and has a really cool water slide.

The Polynesian is our home resort for DVC. It was our first time staying here after 9 years since having DVC. I regret not staying here much sooner! The place is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are stunning and super clean. The food at Kona Cafe was delicious. The room was perfect. It was only a short stay due to leaving for a cruise. We loved taking the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. We will definitely be back!

Positive: We loved the atmosphere of course. The smell in the lobby was heavenly and took to Hawaii in Orlando. We visited Trader Sam?s Grotto after getting on the waitlist and had an experience to remember! Negative: The proximity of our building was one that was a bit far from the main lobby area so trying to get there took some walking time and the elevator was so small our luggage cart just barely fit!

We recently stayed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and unfortunately the experience did not meet expectations for a Deluxe Disney resort, especially at this price point. The rooms themselves are a decent size and the location is excellent for getting to the parks, but the soundproofing is extremely poor. The walls and ceilings are very thin you can hear housekeepers throwing trash outside in the mornings, people walking around in the room above you, and conversations or kids crying in the rooms next door. If you’re hoping for a relaxing or quiet stay, this may be frustrating. I also requested a higher floor and a king bed ahead of time but was placed on the first floor right by the pool, which added even more noise and foot traffic throughout the day and evening.
