Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

If you’re planning a Disney resort trip with young children, there are better options.. It’s just not worth the money. Ik ik, it’s part of the “magic.” There is no magic with the amount of money you spend, and what little you get. We just returned from a 3 night stay at the grand Floridian, and it was by far mediocre, at best. We typically stay at Windsor Hills offsite, but this year we decided to stay onsite for a few days, because we have an 18 month old. Like most people, we thought it would be easier. At Windsor Hills, they have villas for 100-200$ per night, your own rooms, a kitchen, washer and dryer you don’t have to pay for, living area, screened porch, a beach type pool with a grill and bar, splash pad with slides, a game room, and a fitness center right there. Positive: Cleaness and gorgeous room decoration! Negative: The front desk is difficult to find and I don't understand how our check in baggage arrive to my room.

My husband and I booked a complimentary three- night stay here because we had a Disney Wedding and we filled enough of the Room Block to get three free nights. The room is fantastic, comfortable, and located at a great spot to walk to multiple places within the resort. There is a small Fridge, a coffee Maker, and no microwave. It does come with several glasses and mugs, and no utensils. Everyone was very accommodating and kind, my husband had arranged an entire rose petals on the ground, and all over the bed, and the next day when we came back from our farewell brunch, they were just finishing up cleaning up the room and they made a beautiful towel arrangement with swans in the shape of a heart and put some of the rose petals it was gorgeous. The Grand Floridian is one of my favorite Disney hotels I have stayed at! The rooms are BEAUTIFUL - we loved the floral patterns in Big Pine Key. The resort was very walkable. Great views and great location - we loved being so close to Magic Kingdom, having multiple transportation options is such a nice perk. Also being on the monorail makes it so easy to get to the Polynesian and the Contemporary. - Grand Floridian has lots of options for dining and none have disappointed! Would love to stay here again.
