Seaside Laguna Inn & Suites

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We were a bit nervous due to some of the reviews and because we booked last minute due to a cancellation at our other hotel. But we were highly satisfied! The lobby area and outside of the hotel is quite charming. The balcony room was spacious and cozy. The bed was comfortable and they provided both a firm and soft pillow. The walk to the “downtown” area was closer than it seemed. Took me about 20-25 minutes to walk there and it was easy, scenic, and safe walk. A few items to be aware of: - showers are a bit small - balcony room doesn’t necessarily mean ocean view. Our balcony overlooked a parking lot with just a peak of the ocean. This was ok because the ocean was literally steps away from the hotel around the corner. - breakfast in the

This hotel is about a mile away from the main part of town, but easily accessible by the free trolley. It does have parking, so you can leave your car there. It was nice to be away from the noise of the busy downtown area. It is on the ocean side of the street, so you just walk around the corner to the Agate Street Beach. The rooms are small, but adequate. Good mattress. Nice counter in the bathroom with room for two people's toiletries. Our room did not have a view (first floor), but the second floor might. Be warned that as of July 2024, there is a house being constructed right behind the property bringing in big equipment. A little noisy at times. Nice common area with outside and inside tables with coffee machines (including a frother!). Hotel golden retriever - so cute! The

Rooms are basic, but are comfortable for price point. Note you will need to pay for beach towel/chair rentals. They do not have for free. I’d suggest taking your own beach towel. First night the room we were put in smelled like smoke. Staff changed us out for a night into a different room type since ours was sold out. Parking is easy and location is pretty accessible to things in the area. Great restaurants walking distance. This is further away from town center but easy access on the trolley or uber to downtown. Would stay again at right price.

Deceptive photos on the website. The rooms are decorated with garage sale finds and the handle on the tub was broken so we had to go without showers. The front desk couldn't do anything about it but it obviously had been broken for a while. The rooms sit over a row of dumpsters and the ocean view is due to a construction site. The breakfast tray is an overripe banana, warm yogurt, and a cheap packaged pastry.

Great room although I thought i was going to be able to see the ocean and all i seen was someone's house and construction going on very early....
