SeaHorse Beach Resort

My wife and I won a trip through a raffle from my daughter’s dance studio. Firstly, they were generous enough to donate a weekend, secondly I could not have been more impressed! Their staff was very courteous and the room was ready for us upon arrival. These are individually owned investment properties, so each are uniquely different - so you will not get that corporate hotel feel. Then comes the best part- the view! For the area, I find it hard to find a better view than the Seahorse. If you are looking for a relaxing trip, with a laid back atmosphere- look no further!

Fantastic location 100’ from the water. Really nice heated pool and beach chairs to use. Employees are super friendly. Definitely a more chill vibe on Longboat Key - one of the best sunset views on earth!

As other reviews have stated, the beach and location are nice. However, the management is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. We got a notice just days before our arrival that work was being done on the property. Had I not just paid for the stay, I would have booked a different place. Today workers were replacing a banister just outside our room. The jackhammer was extremely loud and the wall (and our teeth) were shaking. When we asked the desk manager (April) when the work and noise would be over, she obfuscated and said she had sent a notice about the work. My wife suggested that the work be done a bit later when we would be out, and April said she could not get in touch with the supervisor for a number of sketchy reasons. The Seahorse Beach Resort is our 2nd home!! We love the property, staff, and professional service at this beautiful beachfront resort on Longboat Key. Santa, April, and staff are all amazing, wonderful, and kind people; who go above and beyond for their guests. Thanks for all that you do and have done for us over the years. In all honesty, I was nervous after reading some more recent reviews to arrive at this place. With this being said, it was an essentially perfect stay! We stayed in unit 218 and it was beautiful and clean and everything we needed for a week’s stay! The building has housekeeping and laundry which was a huge added bonus. The close proximity of the pool and beach access with littles was wonderful! It could have been the time we stayed, but it was very quiet. There was some construction going on, but as you drive through the area, it’s everywhere. They are still recovering from the hurricane. All of the work done up to this point though was beautiful. I would say the perfect little place to stay if you want some R&R and don’t need anything too immaculate.
