Sand Cay Beach Resort

My family stayed at sand cay beach resort unit 203 from 7/19 to 7/26 We have stayed in This unit before and it was nice. We selected the unit from the on line picture portal showing the inside of the unit. Upon walking into the unit we saw that the floor was visibly dirty and sandy with signs of what appeared to be black dirt on the floor. The window blinds were removed and there were black shower curtains hanging over the front patio door and windows. The furniture that was in the unit was outdoor plastic wicker looking furniture that was the most uncomfortable. Cushions kept sliding off when you moved and the square plastic coffee table was leaning to one side. The den/ tv are had some sort of couch that was sandy and not what was shown in the unit pics. This place is one of the best resorts I've stayed at. I loved that they had beach chairs available for us at the beach at all times. I love how friendly the staff was. The condo was very clean and we loved sitting on the patio in the morning and evening. We plan go return. It was great!

Great place. Each condo is unique and you tend to find the one you like as you try different places. We are quite partial to 106 and 119. Both have great views and easy access to the beach. It's a home away from home for our family and we've been going there for years

Sand Cay used to be a reasonable alternative to other price gouging places, but they’ve started to fleece people now, too. When we originally started giving our business to Sand Cay just a few years ago, we paid a nightly rate of $250 or so. It’s gone up at least 50% in each of the following years, and now it’s…wait for it…$650 a night after fees. That’s literally the cost of some of the finest hotels in the world, and let me be clear, the units are not worth it. They’re also now charging a 6% processing fee (because, you know, they obviously can’t make ends meet at $4,000+ a week). Gimme a break. 6% for what?? It’s just another cash grab. Shame on Sand Cay.

We come here year after year and love it! Beach is nice, community is clean and quiet and close to most great restaurants and activities. Highly recommend!
