Sea-Sound Motel

During the closure of Highway 12, we found ourselves stuck in Rodanthe. However, the owners of the seaside motel proved to be a godsend. We stayed for one night, and despite the 11 a.m. checkout time, they graciously allowed us to take our time and depart at our leisure. As it turned out, we ended up staying until 5:30 p.m, when the road reopened, and impressively, they waived additional day's charges. I have been enthusiastically recommending their establishment to everyone, citing their remarkable hospitality. Their prices are very reasonable. The efficiency room we occupied was equipped with all the necessary amenities for meal preparation and was exceptionally clean and roomy. Given the choice, I would opt to stay there again over a chain hotel. Their hospitality was truly exceptional,

The room was comfortable and spacious. The owners were helpful in making reservations and checking in. We stayed the first week of October; it was quiet and peaceful. Since peak beach season was over, we found it convenient to drive to the public beach access (about 1/4 mile from the hotel) and park close to the beach. Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, and I recommend it to anyone vacationing in Rodanthe.

My wife and I stumbled upon Fred and Sharon’s place in 2022 for our first beach vacation together when we were dating. Since then we have been back 4 times. Fred and Sharon are great, friendly and very helpful in pointing you in the right direction for any of your needs in the area. The efficiency rooms are great, you have everything you need to make cook up your fresh catch right there in the room, and a table just outside to clean your catch as well. There’s a pool outback and it’s just a short walk to the beach, also only a few streets up from the pier. Great pricing, great location, and the best owners you’ll ever meet. Hopefully we’ll be back next fall with our newest addition in tow .

Perfect simplicity. We had the efficiency for 4 nights while visiting the area. Very clean and homey. We had everything we needed to prepare meals in the kitchen. The proprietors are very nice. We will gladly stay here again when in the area.

Wow, what a find. Cute Mom and Pop type of motel close to the beach and places to eat. We came for a wedding and family stayed in several different accommodations. Worked perfectly. We got an efficiency which was adorable. Really like the idea of a bookcase in the licing/kitchen area to hold food, etc. Loved the idea of the "self serve" lien and necessities. No maid service until check out, but who needs a maid whennyou can make your own bed and get whatever you needed whenever you wanted. I usually hang the do not disturb sign up anyway, because who needs a new towel EVERYDAY!!!! We definitely will be back. Owners are wonderful people and very nice.
