This place was a perfect getaway!! Taylor the owner has done amazing at updating everything. It is a historical building that has great charm to it. The details everywhere are amazing. They have rockers outside with colorful pillows for comfort. Hanging baskets everywhere….even a house cat just hanging out on the railings. We were worried because it was so old…but when we opened our door it was quite surprising!! The decor was lovely!! The bed was amazing, the shower was perfect…the throw rugs were just the best! We paid less than 400 for 4 nights! You can’t beat it! I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed our stay!

We arrived here at Rodanthe/Salvo around 8.30pm having nowhere to stay! We were tired after an eight hour drive to get here! The reception office is on the front of the Main Street near a gas station so it's easy to find. The lady (presume owner) was helpful and even rang around the local restaurants to see which were still serving good! After checking in we were directed down a small road towards the beach maybe 150 yards from the main road. The wooden block has rooms on two floors, accessible by an exterior wooden staircase. The rooms ARE basic but, you get a microwave,fridge sink & work top area as well as a bath,shower & toilet room. We had two double beds & a TV in the room along with A C. Ok it's old but it had been freshly painted and it WAS CLEAN! One night was 'adequate' I think i

we stayed in june 2015, room was very clean, freshly painted. Hotel staff was helpful and readily provided extra linens, coffee, etc. Very good area and felt safe as I was traveling with 4 young ladies. Our door had triple locks. Very close to the beach, just a short walk over the dunes. The price was right. Our room had 2 doubles, a fold-out bed, microwave, coffee maker, and small refrigerator. They also have very nice 2 bedroom cottages for rent. The hotel was nice enough to give me a key to take a look at an empty one, It was very clean , and great for families on a budget. I will be booking here again.

It’s exactly what we wanted. A nice, super clean room, extremely close to the beach. Don’t expect the 4 seasons...... but why would you need anything more than a clean room and a great host when you are this close to the beach? We loved our stay and plan on returning anytime we are in the Outer Banks!!!!
