Scottsdale Marriott Old Town

Regarding the property, rooms are nice and everything you need is within walking distance or a short uber ride. But, the reason I am leaving a review is because of the amazing service they provided for my family. We came in for a celebration of life and they took amazing care of all our guests. Diana helped facilitate an early check-in and helped us get all of our 4 rooms on the same floor. Ethan was awesome for the PM shift always greeting us and answering any questions. Nancy on the night audit team was super knowledgeable and helped with any late night needs. Ronda at the bar took great care of us and made us feel at home. If I travel back to Scottsdale this will be my go to hotel. Just a big thank you to everyone else who helped us have a wonderful stay.

The incentives we received upon checking in were very nice. $15 food or drink credit to use daily while staying in the hotel, 2 hour use of bicycles, 2 hour use of pickleball courts, free dessert every day between 5-6 even though we couldn't take advantage of that at all because we don't eat dinner before 6 and we were never in the hotel around that time! We checked in at 11 on Thursday and when we left for the day Friday, the room was never cleaned. They should have cleaned the room. The included breakfast wasn't much to write about. You had to upgrade to get any substance. Kevin, the bartender was great though! We love Marriott but next time we'll stay at another one. I believe it needs an upgrade.

It was a very gorgeous place to stay. It has many amenities such as complimentary laundry which is self-service; if you can get a load in before the next load. It was always full when I checked. We had a lil balcony, and could hear the neighbors yelling. Lol. It had a fitness center which the kids love. It has nearly places to eat within walking distance, near bus stops, and Fashion Square Mall is within walking distabce as well. We loved the stay, while family had a conference in the hotel. Housekeeping came in every day to ask if we wanted the room cleaned. Very nice employees too. Easy accessible garage, that we had to use when the handicap parking was full. Most vehicles didnt have a handicap card, but we did. That tucked, what if someone cldnt peak down in the garage and needed that s

We have stayed here in the past and it used to be very nice. However, since a few years ago, it seems as if there has been no upkeep or updating at the hotel. There is no longer valet parking which is a huge disappointment, our TV in our room did not work, there were no linens in the room for our sofa bed, the sheets on the sofa bed had not been changed from the last guest, and we had to call the front desk twice to remind them that we needed a pack n play. Overall the room is spacious, but its as if no maintenance has been done on the rooms or hotel for several years. A few years ago it was nice, but there's been no upkeep. Even the outside of the hotel looks run down and dirty. Also, I did not see a single maid.

Quick weekend getaway. Front desk staff were awesome! Helpful and friendly. We had a 2 room suite, very reasonably priced at $200. Layout is kind of awkward for access to bathroom and closet though. Otherwise spacious enough for 4 adults to socialize in the main living area. Within walking distance to old town shops and restaurants. Nice large pool area. 5 stars for a 3 star hotel.
