Scarborough Inn, Manteo, NC

I stayed in this place about 5 years ago. Since then it's went down hill. The rooms are older without any updates. Front door on ours had a gap under the front door that you could put a finger under and there wasn't too much of a seal around the rest of the door. Could barely understand the person at the desk. The smell that came from there was so strong because of the background of the people, just took our breath away. Bed furniture doesn't match and are short and mattresses wasn't very comfortable. Will not stay here again.

Great experience at the Scarborough Inn. We stayed for two nights in July. The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. Dill, the owner, is a very nice guy who provided great service. Manteo is a 5 minute drive away from Nag's Head so great location

The rooms were cute !! They were clean and did not have that nasty hotel stale smell!! They were deff antique furnished including the beds. The beds slept horrible!!! worset back ache after we woke up at 3 am 430 am 6 am 8am.... needless to say not a good nights rest, but was a quick stop for a wedding we had to attened.. will not stay here again !!! They seem to remind you check out is at 11 everytime they see you !!! Like they are ready for you to leave in a hurry!!! !! If you just need to lay your head down for an over night stay its ok!! Deff. not worth the price it was to stay though !!!

Dill is the man! He made our stay awesome! After my recent stay here, I have a new best friend by the name of Dill. Dill was awesome!! He literally attended to our every need, from efficiently booking the most appropriate rooms for us, to ensuring we had adequate parking for our boat, to personally escorting us to our very nice, clean, spacious rooms (#17 & 18), to accommodating an unexpected early checkout due to a bit of a family emergency, he could not have been more helpful! No more automated kiosk as mentioned in earlier reviews, but true customer service! Rooms were very clean and spacious. Even the grounds and landscaping was very well maintained.
