Santa's Lodge

The lodge has old world charm. The lobby is like a Santa landscape. Very festive. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but ours was quite dark even with all the lights on. Pool is fine, albeit alot of chlorine. The rest of the town is pretty closed down in the winter. More a summer destination. There are some fun things in winter, in neighboring towns. Also Abe Lincoln childhood history. Big amusement park in warm weather down the road.

Was here for a Thanksgiving vacation and the place was great. Yes it does need some serious upgrades as when we were there there was no fridge and no microwave to heat up food we had brought to eat as leftovers. Which was upsetting but its whatever. And they do need to fix the television too as its just static but still shows whats playing. This place is nice being so close to Holiday world and being really quiet considering Holiday World is closed for the season. Breakfast wasnt too bad had a waffle and some cereal. We did want to try Fat Santa's but there wasnt lights on and google said they were open but they weren't. I would come here again as the Hot Tub was really nice. And as for the other reviews about noise. I didnt hear nothing as its the off season. 3.5 out of 5.

The themed hotel is very close to holiday world, not very expensive and easily accessed from the main street. The rooms are on 1st or 2nd floor and the complimentary breakfast is in a basement. They have an indoor pool and hotter and an outdoor pool. The indoor pool was a bit cold. There was a bathroom right outside the pool area if you needed the facilities while not close to the room. They beds were firm. The theme of santa ran through the hotel, and the kids quite enjoyed that. Breakfast was early enough that we were able to eat, swim, shower and get dressed for holiday world before it opened. Overall not bad.

I work for a tree service that travels Indiana, working on the power lines across the state. The staff at Santa's Lodge are among the friendliest people we have met. I took a crew of guys down to work in the area, and it was an overall great experience. They made us feel like family. Between good rates and a small-town vibe, I highly recommend staying here. We will be returning here whenever we work in southern Indiana.
