Santa's Cottages

We have come here every year for 7 years now! It's our absolutely favorite pre-christmas getaway! It's perfect for a few days of that, "Christmas Vibe", to get you in the spirit of the holidays! I would definitely recommend booking in advance for they are very busy. We love the original cabins with the decks overlooking the lake. Elf park is so fun for kids and has an amazing little Zipline that my daughter loves! It has recently switched owners with the popular and well known, Holiday World, taking over. We spoke to them and they said they would be doing a few upgrades, which are definitely needed as far as adding ovens in the older cabins, which would be great! They also offer a cute train ride around the cottages on the weekend!

Our cottage was the cleanest place we’ve ever stayed. Most places, including hotels, just focus on the more obvious cleaning and don’t worry about window seals or baseboard buildup for example. This place truly was spotless. We had a WiFi issue that they addressed for us. We had a very good stay here and would definitely go back.

Cottages 17 and 18 were clean 2-bedrooms, 2 baths with full kitchen- stocked- TV with Netflix and DVD, plus cute swing and grill area out back! Nice new pillows with ALL linens and towels included. Warm and cozy for our 2 cold nights but kids had fun on the Train around the property and playing on the zip line, basketball court and general playground! We loved it!

The cabins are just down the road from Holiday World. Cabins are very well maintained.we stayed in the duplexes 9and 10 so our 4 cabins would be close to each other. Each came with a full kitchen, sleeping for 5 or 6 if small kids. Loved that a lake was right outside the door and each unit has a firepit, grill, porch swing and outdoor table and chairs. Our family loved fishing together and making smores. Lots of room for the kids to run. Seemed private even though there are lots of cabins. The playground was top notch and also full bb court. We didn't use the arcade or pool but expect they would be really nice too. Family cant wait to go back. Grandkids didn't want to leave.

Stayed there Wednesday thru Sunday…was trying to find a meeting point between us and our college aged kids to have a quick family meetup/getaway/vacay during fall break. This was perfection! ||Had everything we needed, was clean and cute and plenty of space (we stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage) and between 2 parents and 3 young adult children, the amount of beds and bathrooms worked really well. ||The guys enjoyed fishing while the girls enjoyed hiking nearby and just swinging on the porch. I’m telling you, on paper it seems sleepy, but it ended up being the most relaxing time, better than we could have asked for. ||Places to eat around town were scarce, so we bought stuff at the grocery and grilled out a few nights (bring your own foil and salt and pepper tho).
