Sandman Motel

It was clean, had clean towels, small room, the a/c worked great. The room was just okay nothing special, the TV worked great, the wi-fi was slow, $56 for a night stay, card key door. Near stores and restaurants Gilbert's Pizza is great. Near Fort Johnson.

Went here when we couldn't go to our usual hotel destination and compared to our usual, this place was awful. They offer all generic amenities as most places, however, the quality is highly diminished. The room is very small, bed is small, damaged furniture. Bug bites while in the room, believed to come from the carpet; kept feeling something crawl on me. Asked for more towels and had to explain why we needed more. 🙄 Only stayed here one night. The only appeal about this place was the price and it was a few dollars more than what we were used to paying, so we'll never go here again. Go to Country Inn instead - you get so much more for your money in all aspects.

I stayed at this hotel because it is near ft polk. I will start with the things I didnt like about this hotel. This hotel has very few amenities, bring your own hair dryer, shampoo, cond, etc., I can do without the other stuff but I am use to having a hair dryer. The only thing they supply is a little bar of soap, sometimes an ice bucket and two cups. There are no snack machines anywhere, only one soda machine with an ice machine beside it. The room was fairly clean but the shower could use a good scrubbing. There is a little fridge and microwave in the room. The t.v. is not a flat screen but worked well. The air worked well and the beds were okay to sleep in. The maid starts cleaning early and all three mornings I was there, I was woke up by them shaking a trash bag out and the wheels of

A very safe place to stay and very good internet speed and connectivity. I give it an A+ Rating. The Motel Staff were professional and courteous. There is a full sized gas station right next to it - Exxon to refuel at low gas prices cars or 18 wheelers with parking space for them. There is also a bar and grill right next to the motel that is a nice place to eat walking from your room. This is a good safe place to stay at and prices are very reasonable.

Driven by this place plenty of times, but usually stay across the road at the Comfort Suites. Decided on here and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms seem to have been renovated within the last few years, very clean and modern. Aside from the Mosquitos which are no ones fault, it was a great stay. Very easy place to park my truck. ||Great value, will say here again.
