I'm a long time Marriott fan and am rarely disappointed when choosing a Marriott property but this was the exception. At checkin, the staff ignored my room preferences and didn't provide an overview of the property (location of things) which is customary. The room was ok but I was not told about ongoing construction which was an unpleasant surprise. The room AC would shut off when I left the room and I would return to an 80 degree room. It took forever to cool off. This would happen at night too and I would wake sweating. The M Club was nice but the Nespresso coffee machine was broken. I told the staff about it every day. The attitude of the front desk was "that's not my job". I asked that they put an "out of order sign" on the machine until it was repaired because guests were wasting doze

I stayed at the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley for what was meant to be a solo self-care weekend, but the experience ended up being far more stressful than relaxing.||I am a wife and a mother who booked this stay specifically for a quiet mental health break and some personal time away. Unfortunately, from the moment I arrived, the stay was filled with repeated issues that disrupted that purpose.||The first room I was assigned on the 16th floor had a very strong rotten egg odor that immediately filled the room and overpowered a heavy cologne-like smell. The odor made the room unusable, so I contacted the front desk and was moved to the 17th floor. The second room still had the same egg-like smell, though slightly less intense, and also had cleanliness and maintenance issues, including ha

My family and I mostly enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Mission Valley. The room and beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed having the balcony. The pool was really nice and we enjoyed that they had cabanas. The restaurant was good and very convenient to have inside the hotel, for the mornings and the night we didn’t feel like leaving for dinner. The only things we did not enjoy were that the fridge in our room was full of the previous guests leftover food. We wouldn’t have liked that pre-pandemic, but mid-pandemic made us worry that the rest of the hotel was not cleaned and sanitized as well as they were claiming. The pool also never had clean towels down by it each time we used it. The first night I called to ask for more and it took over an hour to get towels there. The next night, we

It has really fun and relaxing things to enjoy inside the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley Hotel, where I visited during a trip. The place feels lively and refreshing in a way that teenagers would enjoy a lot, and I noticed so many teenagers around the lobby, elevators, and pool area. The whole environment has this calm but playful energy that makes it easy for teenagers to feel comfortable and have fun. The open areas inside the hotel look clean and modern, and the lighting in the hallways and lobby makes it perfect for taking pictures without anything costing extra. It was a new hotel to me, but I didn’t realize how much there was to enjoy there until I walked around inside and outside. The pool area especially had a lot of teenagers laughing and hanging out, which made the place feel

Incredible experience. The only thing better than the actual hotel grounds which is a 10 is the staff. I can actually say for the first time ever I didn't want to come home. Thats big for me since I'm a home body. Silvia and jc will make you feel like family. Can't wait to come back
