Samesun Ocean Beach - San Diego

The best hostel I ever stayed, great location near the beach and foods, bars, restaurants. The room is very nice clean and well managed the people and the staff here are very friendly and helpful I love it here!! The breakfast is very nice too

Very comfortable bed and nice staff. |Endless supply of teas and a very cozy television room with sofa and chairs.|There are some really good taquerias around with real killer carne asada burrito: Nico's Mexican Food & Mike's Taco Club. (trust me)|I wish they don't take the coffee away at 9 AM, that's way too early.|Leave the coffee out for little bit longer for your guests to enjoy.||This is a basic hostel that is comfortable but has no group activities, so for those of you who are traveling solo, first time staying at hostel, shy or non English speakers, this will be a very boring and lonely hostel to you. Also ocean beach is quiet after 7 PM.||But I recommend this hostel if you seeking a good, clean, comfortable stay.

I could write a book trying to describe how profoundly my experience at this hostel changed my life. The staff were all amazing, not a single complaint. They handled any hostel guest type issues that came up quickly and smoothly. The location is fantastic. Ocean Beach itself is a special vibe. There is special events all around the city every night. Really cool bars and restaurants, delicious food too. Places to play pool and fun other games. The ocean view doesn't need to be mentioned, it's just magic.. But this hostel in and of itself is a special little gem. The rooms and all areas are cleaned well daily, including bathrooms and showers. I have no complaints. This place is NOT a 1-star as google suggests… this place is a hidden gem! Me and 2 other buddies stayed here for 3 nights while visiting ocean beach. We got our own room as we had 3 bunks. Came with clean bedding and towels. There was a private sink in our room. The shared/common spaces were nice and tidy. Bathrooms and kitchens were clean at all times. The other guests were super friendly and interesting, with plenty of areas just to hang out. Staff are very friendly and are strict about quiet hours. Location is spectacular as you’re on the main road in ocean beach. Tons of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops nearby and the ocean is literally walking distance. My first hostel experience!!! Was phenomenal! Jackie was helpful and kind. The whole place was so cute and cozy . They did a great job at keeping the place clean and tidy. All the bathrooms were clean and stocked . Had no problem getting in as there was plenty of shower rooms. Cool little chill smoke area. Fresh towels and linens. Friendly people. Walk right to the beach .and all the restaraunts and hot spots on newport ave. Would come back again and again ! P.s try the bowl restaurant next door!
