Very nice room, appreciated upgrade for titanium status. Safe in my room didn't work (was closed shut) and tv wasnt functioning (previous guest had unplugged and maintenance had to come in to fix because of how it's mounted). i was offered another room because of safe issue. accepted that...only to find safe in the second room didnt function either. the door or safe was open but it wouldnt work with a pin or credit card for the locking mechanism. Was offered another room but was there for 5 nights and disinclined to be inconvenienced with a second room change. I appreciated the offer of use of a safe behind the front desk, but that would have been too cumbersome to deal with for the amount of times I was in and out of the hotel for work. Hotel was updated and the rooms are great, but safes

I've stayed here before but this time we were in town for a conference at the convention center. The location is great! It's a quick walk across the streets and most of the downtown restaurants were within a few minutes walk of the hotel. ||The rooms were pretty standard Marriott fare. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren't. Room service didn't replace coffee for the in room coffee maker (there is a Starbucks in the lobby). Some of the outlets in the room weren't working. ||Despite my Lifetime status, we waited almost 4 hours for check in. We were promised a 1 hour turnaround since we arrived a little early but waited nonetheless. ||Most disappointed that the Concierge Lounge is closed from noon on Friday until 5pm Sunday. It wasn't even open to grab coffee, water etc or

Overall, this was a decent hotel, but for the price, I expected more. The location is excellent and very convenient - right downtown and close to City Creek, restaurants, and shopping. The staff we interacted with were friendly and responsive, especially the front desk. That said, there were a few frustrations. The sliding glass closet doors in our room were very hard to slide and kept coming off the track. Maintenance came while we were out, but the doors were still difficult to use afterward, so we mostly left them open. There was also no complimentary water in the room - only $9 bottles. While there was water available in the lobby, it wasn’t very convenient to go downstairs every time. The bed was much firmer than I prefer. As a side sleeper, my arm kept falling asleep, so I had to

This Marriott property doesn’t look like much on the outside, but when you step in, it looks really elegant! I attended an event here the other evening and it was a great experience! The staff here were all very welcoming and the hotel lobby and ballrooms were well-kept. The food served here, while buffet style, was still delicious and well seasoned. Great place to host an event for large parties! Parking is pretty standard, but have tighter spaces - heads up for larger vehicles if you plan to drive one there.

Positive: The location with free parking was fantastic! The rooms were large enough, updated, and clean. We had a nice view from our 7th-floor room without needing to pay extra. The staff was great?literally the quickest check-in ever! Negative: There was a horrible smell in the elevators used to access the parking garage. Hotel staff entered our room to begin cleaning before we removed our items and checked out (1 hour before checkout) because they saw us leave the room. Not impressed with that.
