I’m fairly certain this hotel room was powered directly by the fiery core of the earth. The second I walked in, it felt like I had accidentally checked into a luxury lava spa. I thought, “No problem, I’ll just crank the AC.” Oh, how naive I was. I set the thermostat to 60 degrees. Sixty. As in “I’d like to see my breath.” As in “Please create a light arctic tundra breeze.” The air conditioner responded by… doing absolutely nothing. Not a gentle hum. Not a whisper of cool air. If anything, it seemed personally offended and decided to make it warmer out of spite. All night long, I lay there marinating in my own regret like a rotisserie chicken at a gas station. The sheets stuck to me. The pillows radiated heat like they had been preheated. I considered building a raft out of complimentary
This place was excellent. We initially stayed because my wife was having surgery at the University of Utah, and I’m very glad we chose it. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. When we returned from the surgery, they had a wheelchair available for us, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch. The beds were outstanding. I have chronic low back pain, so mattress quality is very important to me, and I was able to get a full night’s rest without waking up in pain. They also offered complimentary hot chocolate with marshmallows and had an area for children to write letters to Santa, which was a nice added touch. I would definitely stay here again.
Positive: "" Negative: Being charged for parking $15.00 I was unaware after checking out I found I was charged for parking. I feel this should have been disclosed at booking. Not very happy with being chrged for parking.
This used to be our special place to stay, but things have changed. First, you now pay for your parking (used to be free for guest) so add $15 a day to the room rate. Being a long way away from downtown, you should not have to pay to park. Rooms are getting dated. The comfort of the bed was poor compared to a few years ago (now a significantly lower quality of mattress is being used). Heating/cooling in the room was terrible. Room was HOT when we arrived and we tried to cool it off. HVAC fan was loud and we couldn't get the room cooler than 73. Bathroom seemed not very clean and needed work. To turn the shower on you have to brave cold water as the door opens on the wrong side. Disappointing stay from what we were used to at this hotel.
This was very disappointing . Was promised free breakfast and it was not given. Marriott Bonvoy sucks. The people at the hotel did not help. Cancel your Bonvoy points and credit card and book on Expedia at least you get free breakfast for the price. Also they don’t have smart TV’s where you can add your own password for streaming services and terrible TV Options . Book a better chain than Marriot
